Water outage in Killinkere.jpg

Tanker supplied after burst main disruption in Killinkere

A burst main in the Killinkere area left dozens of homes in the local area without water over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
The disruption commenced on Monday afternoon after the damage was detected.
Council crews were on the scene in an attempt to repair the issue, however due to the nature of the burst, notice was issued that the fix would take longer than expected.
As a result, a water tanker was made available at Killinkere National School, and boil water notice issued for the area.
“CCC Crews have been attempting to complete this repair throughout the day. Unfortunately due to the nature of the burst we have been unable to complete this work. A water tanker has been made available at Killinkere National School. Please boil before use,” the local authority posted on social media.
“We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused and will endeavour to have normal supply back up and running as soon as possible,” the council added.
