Ex-Strypes appear in new Rocketman trailer

The details of how former members of Cavan-band The Strypes will appear in the upcoming fantasy musical biopic depicting Elton John’s breakthrough years have emerged.
It follows the release of the second theatrical trailer for the big screen feature film, which is due to hit cinemas later this year.
Band drummer Evan Walsh plays the role of Elton Dean, an English jazz musician who performed on alto saxophone, saxello and occasionally keyboards with the band Bluesology, led by Long John Baldry. The band's pianist at the time, Reginald Dwight, would later combine Dean's and Baldry's first names for his own stage name, Elton John.
The trailer shows Walsh delivering a line to the film's lead star Taron Egerton in what appears to be the back of a van, sitting along side Peter O'Hanlon (Bobby) and Ross Farrelly (Cyril).
Fellow former Strypes' member Josh McClorey is listed in credits as playing the part of a 'New Bluesology Band Member' in the film.

Awards
Separately, guitarist Josh has been added to the billing to preform at this year's Sea Sessions music festival in Bundoran, which is to be headlined by Clean Bandit, Sigrid and Two Door Cinema Club.
He has also been nominated in the Best Musician category at this year's Hot Press Awards, alongside Gemma Doherty (Saint Sister) The Edge (U2) Gavin Glass, Martin Hayes (The Gloaming) Jeremy Hickey (RSAG), Graham Hopkins, Gerry Leonard, Vivienne Long, Colm Mac an Iomaire, Robbie Malone, Sarah Michelle, James Vincent McMorrow, Sharon Shannon, Catherine Sikora, and Steve Wickham.
Fellow Cavan musician, Ballyhaise's Lisa O’Neill has meanwhile been nominated in no fewer than three awards, for 'Best Songwriter', 'Best Folk/Trad? (Irish)', and 'Best Female'.
Lisa will though face a challenge in the latter of the three categories from Castletara's Áine Cahill, who recently released a new music video for 'Blue Valentine', and will play London's Paper Dress Vintage next month.
