Tesco Ireland signs €3 million contract with Celtic Pure

Monaghan based Celtic Pure has secured a €3M deal to supply its bottled water to Tesco Ireland nationwide over the next two years.

Tesco Ireland announced the deal at its annual supplier conference last Thursday, May 16, in Dublin.

Based at Corbreagh, Co Monaghan, Celtic Pure will supply over two million, five-litre 'Drumlin Hills' Tesco water bottles over the duration of the contract.

Celtic Pure Irish Spring is one of Ireland’s fastest growing businesses, employing 75 people. It is owned and managed by the McEneaney family.

The company has nearly doubled in size since 2017, growing its production from 80 million litres of water to 150 million litres. This growth has been led by the company’s investment in automation technologies, while maintaining its workforce.The water from these springs has been used by the McEneaney family for well over 200 years and today the family-run Celtic Pure company operates its state-of-the-art bottling plant close to the original family spring, which now produces over 120 million bottles a year.
