Maureen McGee

The death has occurred of Maureen McGee, Creighan, Cavan. Beloved wife of the late Tom. Monday, March 9, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of College View, Nursing Home, Cavan. Sadly missed by her loving daughter Carmel (Gaffney), sons Liam and Sean, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Arriving to St Brigid's Church Killygarry Tuesday March 10 at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11.00 am in St Brigid’s Church, Killygarry with interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. House Private at all times please.

 

Caroline Howden (née Hassard)

The death has occurred of Caroline Howden (née Hassard) Mullaghlea, Bawnboy, Cavan. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital in her 94th year. Beloved mother of Ray (Rosealeen) Arthur (Miriam), Cecil (Hazel), Bertie (Marie) Des ( Kate )and sister Isie, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the family circle.

Resting at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan (Eircode H12 RF78) today (Tuesday), from 4pm to 9pm, where family and friends are welcome to meet family members. Her remains will arrive at Saint Peter's Church, Templeport, on Wednesday for Funeral Service at 3pm, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only donations if desired to Palliative Care Cavan General Hospital or Breffni Care Centre Ballyconnell

 

Sydney Emery

The death has occurred of Sydney Emery, Naughan, Belturbet, Co Cavan, died peacefully on Monday, March 9, at Cavan General Hospital. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, wife Marian, son David, daughter Sarah, brother Teddy, sister Maresa (Bailieborough), , mother-in-law Rose, son-in-law Brian, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

Remains will be reposing at his residence, Naughan, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, H14 KF90, today (Tuesday, March 10) from 4pm until 9pm. Remains will leave his residence on Wednesday morning 11th March at 10.30am to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Drumalee, for 11am funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private at all other times, please.

Kathleen Donohoe

The death has occurred of Kathleen Donohoe, Drumcondra, Dublin and formerly of Keelagh, Ballyhaise, Co Cavan, March 9, 2020, at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown, Dublin. Deeply regretted by her brothers Seamus, Andy, sisters Christine, Marion, Veronica and Breda, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her brother Hugh.

Remains reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan,this evening (Tuesday) from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass in St. Brigid's Church, Killoughter, Redhills, on Wednesday afternoon at 12.30pm. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, in lieu, to St. Francis Hospice.


 

Charles Cahal Cunnea

The death has occurred of Charles Cahal Cunnea, “Charlie” (Retired An Garda Síochána), Ernehill, Belturbet, Co Cavan, formerly of Glencolmcille, Co Donegal died peacefully in loving care of his family and staff of Cavan General Hospital, Monday, March 9 2020. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, wife Marian, son Hugh, daughters Cáit Tutty (Dublin), Paula (London), grandchildren Rory, Barry, Orla, Aoife and Niamh, son-in-law Donal, daughter-in-law Emer, sister Greta (Margaret) London, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Remains will be reposing at his residence Ernehill, Belturbet, Co. Cavan (H14 AT21) on Wednesday March 11 from 3pm until 8pm. Removal of his remains from his residence on Thursday morning, March 12 at 11.30am to arrive at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Belturbet for 12 noon Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in Drumalee Cemetery. House private at all other times please. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if so desired, to St Vincent de Paul.
