Bally'duff water fix completed

 

Work to mend a mechanical issue at the water treatment plant in Ballyjamesduff have been completed, and supply has been returned to customers in the area.

Irish Water working in partnership with Cavan County Council advised customers in Ballyjamesduff that they may experience reduced pressure and/or a water outage yesterday (March 12) due to the issue at the local water treatment plant.

Irish Water drinking water operational experts, working with colleagues in Cavan County Council warned it may take two to three hours for a full water supply to return after this time, especially for properties in higher lying areas.

Its understood the fix was completed at around 6pm yesterday, will full supply returned thereafter.

Irish Water and Cavan County Council apologised for any inconvenience caused and also thanked customers for their patience while they carried out the repairs.
