Fr. Gerard Finegan (Monsignor)

Fr. Gerard Finegan (Monsignor), Long Boat Quay, Florida and late of Main Street, Cavan Town, died Monday, February 3 peacefully surrounded by his family at his home in Long Boat Quay.

Pre-deceased by his parents Joe and Mary.

Sadly missed by his Bishop, brother priests, parishioners, his devoted sisters Mary, Áine, Catherine, Brigid and Josephine, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

Memorial Mass in the Cathedral of SS Patrick and Felim, Cavan, on Sunday, is postponed due to Coronavirus.

 

Fr Thomas Keogan

Fr. Thomas Joseph Keogan MHM, (Freshford, Liverpool, Malaysia, Brunei, Pakistan and Dublin, formerly of Maghera, Lisduff, Virginia, Co. Cavan) March 11 2020 (peacefully) in CareChoice Nursing Home, Trim.

Son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (née Hetherton) Keogan and predeceased by his brother Jim, sisters Sr. Oliver of Presentation Sisters, Annie (McCabe), Rose (Bradden), Lizzie (Farrelly), Peggy (Brady) and Agnes (Conaty).

Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and his Mill Hill Missionary colleagues, friends and staff at CareChoice Nursing Home, Knightsbridge, Trim.

Removal on Friday afternoon (13th March) to Mill Hill Missionaries, St. Joseph’s House, 50 Orwell Park, Rathgar (D06 C535) arriving at 3pm followed by prayers and repose until 5.30 pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday afternoon (14th March) at midday with burial afterwards at Bohernabreena Cemetery.

 

Tim Dillon
Died March 11. Late of Mucklagh, Tullamore, Co. Offaly. Tim will be sadly missed by his loving sons Enda and Niall, daughter Rosaleen, daughters-in-law Petrina and Lorraine, son-in-law Joe, grandchildren, great-grandchild, sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at O'Reilly's Funeral Home, Harbour Street, Tullamore, on Thursday from 5pm until Rosary at 7pm. Removal on Friday to St. Colman's Church, Mucklagh, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial after Mass in St. Flannan's Cemetery, Kinnity, Co. Offaly.

 

 

Eugene Newman

Died March 11. The death has occured of Eugene Newman, Togherbane, Kilmoyley, Co. Kerry and formerly of Newgrove House, Abbeylara, Co. Longford who passed away peacefully at his home in the loving care of his family.

Reposing this Thursday evening, the 12th March, at Hartnetts Funeral Home (V92-WTK8), Ballyheigue, Tralee, Co. Kerry from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Friday, 13th March, at 12 noon in The Sacred Heart Church, Kilmoyley followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery, Kilmoyley.
