Eileen Dunne

(neé McCarren). Allendale, Kilmainham, Kells and formerly of Cavan town. 30 March 2020. Peacefully at CareChoice Nursing Home, Trim in her 93rd year.

Predeceased by her husband Seamus and her sisters Joyce, Pauline, Rita, Helen and Bernadette. Eileen will be sadly missed by her children Patrick, Anthony, Therese, Rita and Michael, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, extended family friends and carers.

Due to government advice and HSE guidelines regarding public gatherings, a private funeral will take place for immediate family at 1.30pm on Friday. This mass can be viewed online at www.kellsparish.ie/our-parish/webcam

 

Hugh Menadue

Virginia, Co. Cavan and formerly of Cornwall and Chester, UK) March 30th, 2020 (peacefully) in the tender care of the staff at Marymount Care Centre.

Beloved husband of Maureen; Hugh will be sadly missed by his loving wife, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives and friends.

A private funeral will take place due to government advice regarding public gatherings. When the current circumstances have passed we look forward to celebrating Hugh’s life with friends and extended family at a later date.

 

Maureen Traynor

(née Comey), Rahardrum, Virginia, Co. Cavan, in her 96th year, at St. Joseph's Nursing Home, Virginia on 31st March 2020.

Predeceased by her husband Gerard, brothers Peter and Jim, sisters Bridie, Elizabeth, Rosaleen, Kathleen and Dympna. Maureen will be sadly missed by her son Tom, daughter Rose Mary, daughter-in-law Rita, her adored grandchildren Eoin, Orla, Brian, and Conor, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Due to Government regulations regarding public gatherings, the Funeral Mass will be held in private with just immediate family.

 

Daniel Boyle

(Danny), (Malahide and late of Lisnaskea, Fermanagh and Mirror Group Newspapers), March 30th, 2020 – (peacefully) in the loving care of his family, at home; beloved husband of Dorothy and loving father of Danny, Fiona, Gráinne, Lorraine, Sinéad, Cathy, Doireann, Donna (niece) and the late Baby Brendan. Sadly missed by his loving family, sons-in-law, his cherished 15 grandchildren, sister Judena, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

A private family funeral will take place, due to Government advice regarding public gatherings.

A Memorial Mass for Danny will be celebrated at a later date.

 

Oliver Morris

(Ollie), Mountdutton, Oldcastle, Co. Meath 30/03/2020. Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Virginia, surround by his family. Deeply regretted by his loving son Mark, daughters Nicola and Tracy, brother John, Joseph, James and Benny, sisters Annie, Margaret, Bridget, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

In an effort to follow Government and H.S.E. Guidelines, Ollie's Funeral will be private and will be streamed live at 11 am on Thursday in St. Brigids Church Oldcastle, https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/st-brigids-church-oldcastle. A memorial Mass will take place at a later date when restrictions are removed.

 

Laurence Ward

(Larry) Formerly of Flower Hill, Navan, and College, Nobber. Peacefully, at home, in his 96th year, following many fruitful years and always maintaining a constant and vigorous rapport with all those around him. He will be greatly missed by his surviving sister Kathleen Gillespie of Chicago and by Rose, Maureen and James Gillespie and by Rose’s husband Brian Doherty. Larry was predeceased by his sisters Margaret Risberg and Mary Joe Merrigan and survived in America by his nieces and nephews Patrica Risberg–Mogridge, Peter Risberg, Margaret (Peggy) Petersen and Eileen Hilburn.

Larry was reared by his aunt Catherine (Katie) Ward Rogers alongside her sons Tommy, Larry & Johnnie Rogers and he was a constant source of support, encouragement and laughter to all the Rogers. Larry’s unique and colourful turn of phrase will always remain with his Rogers cousins: Oliver, John, Beth, Joan, Gabrielle, Jem, Patricia, Norman, David, Pauline, Catherine (Wollongong), Raymond, Thomas and Aoife. For a few years now Larry was well minded by Darragh Kelly, Kitty Rogers & their Boys. A celebration of Larry’s life will be arranged at a suitable time.
