Richard Breiden, Church Street, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan, April 4th 2020. Peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at College view nursing home, Cavan. Much loved brother of Bobby, Annie, Lily, and the late David, Raymond, George and Tom Breiden, cherished uncle of all his nieces and nephews.
In accordance with government restrictions on public gatherings and social distancing, Richard's burial will be private.

Patricia Farrelly (née Murphy)
Fortlea, Derrylin, Fermanagh / Swanlinbar, Cavan

Patricia Farrelly (nee Murphy) Fortlea, Derrylin and formerly Swanlinbar, Sunday 5th April, peacefully at home, devoted wife of Tommy and loving mother of John (Michelle) and Paul (Thara). Dear sister of Patsy, Phyllis, Josie, Frankie, Kathleen, Carmel and the late Tony RIP.
Private burial will take place Monday in St Ninnidh’s Cemetery, Derrylin. A Memorial Mass will be held later to celebrate Patricia’s life.
Deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband, sons, daughters in law, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family circle.

 

Mary (Cissie) Gaffney (née Martin)
Aughawelia, Ballinagh, Cavan

Mary Gaffney Aughawelia, Ballinagh, who died peacefully at her residence in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Patsy. Survived by her family, Martin, Marie, Pauline and John, grandchildren David, Brian, Sarah, Laura, Patrick, Niamh, Roisin and Sean, great-grandsons Dylan and Adam, daughters in law Mary and Betty, sons in law Harry and Alasdair, sister in law Una Martin, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Due to Covid 19 regulations along with Government and HSE advice Mary's funeral and house will be private. A Memorial Mass will take place at a later date. Sympathisers can extend sympathy on the online condolences facility below.


Teresa Kelly (née Smith)
Tullybrick, Lisboduff, Cootehill, Cavan

Teresa Kelly (née Smith) Tullybrick, Lisboduff, Cootehill, Co Cavan. Beloved wife of the late Patrick, Saturday April 4th, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff of Oakview Nursing home, Belturbet. Sadly missed by her loving sons Michael and Fr. Gabriel, daughter Rosaleen, son in law Fintan, her adored grandchildren Paul, Catherine and Kelly.
Owing to the current government and HSE restrictions on public gatherings a private funeral will be held for immediate family only.
Those unable to attend due to the restrictions are welcome to leave a personal message of condolence in the condolence book at the botom of this page.
A memorial Mass will take place in the future to celebrate Teresa’s life.

Teresa Smith (nee Smith) 5th April 2020, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Late of Drumcalpin, Tullyo, Cootehill, Co. Cavan. Predeceased by her parents Bernard and Anna and brother Packie. Deeply regretted by her loving family, her husband James, sons Bernard, Seamus, Paul, and Declan, daughters-in-law Imelda and Nicola, her cherished grandchildren Lorraine, Maeve, Ellie and Tessa, sisters-in-law Frances and Mary,niece, nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends.

New York and formerly of, Lough Gowna, Cavan / Mullahoran, Cavan

Rose White (née Brady), New York and formerly of Lough Gowna and Mullahoran, Co. Cavan. Passed away, peacefully, in her home in New York on March 31st at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Pat White and cherished mother of Margaret, Julie, Patricia, Mary, John, Aileen and Patrick. Rose will be sadly missed by her loving family: brothers and sisters Mary, Theresa, Margaret, Tony, Danny and Fr. Jim, her sister and brother in laws, her son and daughter in laws and all her adored grandchildren. A private cremation will be held and a Memorial Service will take place at a later date.

Peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at Mullinahinch House Nursing Home. Beloved husband of the late Maura. Sadly missed by his loving daughters Carmel and Pauline, sons Seamus and Joe, sons in law Peter and Paddy, grandchildren Colm, Elaine, Oisin and Caitriona, sister Mary (Lyons), sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Margaret Kettle (nee Keenan), Rafeenan, Ballinode, Co Monaghan, Saturday 4th April, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, in her 80th year, surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted and forever missed by her husband PJ, sons Dermot & Martin, daughter Geraldine, sisters Kathleen, Carmel & Annleen and her good friends and neighbours.
Owing to current government & HSE guidelines, Margaret's House, Funeral & Burial will be strictly private. A memorial and celebration of Margaret's life will take place at a later date.

The death has occurred Terence McArdle, Annaglaive, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, Saturday 4th April, peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff in Drumbear Lodge. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sister Ellen (Nellie) Daly, nieces and nephews, Padraig and Seamus Loughran, Marian Duffy, Veronica Finnegan, Kathleen Farrell, Nuala Kavanagh, Helen Coleman, Ann Geogehan, Pauline Murray, Raymond, Gerry, Padraig, Dessie and Brendan Daly, neighbours and friends.
In line with guidelines issued by The Government and The HSE, Terence’s burial will be strictly private.
A memorial Mass commemorating the life of Terence will be celebrated at a later date.

The death has occurred of Fergal (Fergie) Nixon, Ballybay and Castleblayney, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of the Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. Sadly missed by his family and friends.
In line with the Covid-19 guidelines issued by the government and HSE Fergal’s interment will be strictly private. A memorial commemorating the life of Fergal will be celebrated at a later date. Condolences may be left for the family in the section below.

 

Eileen Sweeney (née McGuinness)
Horkan's Hill, Westport, Mayo / Scotstown, Monaghan

Eileen Sweeney (nee McGuinness), Horkan's Hill, Westport and formerly Knockatallon, Scotstown, Co. Monaghan. 5th April 2020, peacefully, in the loving care of the Pilgrim Rest Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband Eamonn.
Eileen will be sadly missed by her children Theresa, Asumpta, Martin and Thomas, grandchildren Thomas, Eva, Leo, Maria, Maeve, Hugh, Michael and Shay, sister Dympna and sister-in-law Bridgie, nieces, nephews and extended Sweeney and McGuinness families.
Due to H.S.E. guidelines regarding the Corona Virus (COVID 19) the funeral will be private at all stages. Your co-operation is greatly appreciated by the Sweeney Family at this difficult time.
