A dry day with sunny spells lies ahead for Cavan and Monaghan, according to Met Éireann. Moderate to fresh and gusty easterly breezes will ease during the evening. Highs of 14 to 16 degrees generally, but it will be cooler (12 or 13 degrees) near the east and northeast coasts due to the onshore breeze.
