Chef to give €90k wedding to frontline worker

Cavan hotel owner and award-winning restaurateur Richard Corrigan is offering frontline healthcare workers a the opportunity of winning a luxury all-inclusive wedding package at the celebrated Virginia Park Lodge.

Worth an estimated €90,000, the chance is for a wedding of up to 160 guests, and can be booked at the sprawling 18th-century estate for any available date up to April 2022.

The competition went live at 9am this morning through virginiaparklodge.com.

Each entry, or nomination of someone eligible, must be accompanied by a €10 donation to the Society of St Vincent de Paul’s emergency fundraising appeal.

“We are delighted to announce the #CorrigansVowToTheFrontline initiative in aid of St Vincent de Paul Ireland,” the Virgina Park Lodge website says.

The application process will be open for two months. “If you know someone who is engaged and working as a frontline healthcare worker on the Island of Ireland then please let them know of this campaign as well as nominating them.”

In total, five entries will be shortlisted at random with the National President of St Vincent de Paul selecting the winner.

“The more entries per person the better chance of being selected, so please ask friends, family, neighbours and colleagues to nominate! Together we can raise vital funds for the St Vincent de Paul Ireland.”
