Hottest day of the year so far

Today is set to be the hottest day of the year hitting 26 degrees for a spell this afternoon in Cavan Town. Dry and mostly sunny, Met Eireann expect temperatures to remain in the 20s from 11am through to 9pm tonight. We will have the relief of a light to moderate southeasterly breeze.

Tonight will be dry with clear spells. It will be mild with lowest temperatures ranging between 12 and 15 degrees, in light to moderate southeasterly breezes, fresh along western coasts.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow will be dry and sunny, although the sunshine may turn a little hazy at times. Highest afternoon temperatures will range between 21 and 24 degrees, in a moderate southeasterly breeze.
