Glorious weather continues into bank holiday weekend

Warm and mostly dry weather through the Bank Holiday weekend and current indications are that it will continue for early next week before turning cooler and less settled, report Met Éireann.

Dry and sunny today, although the sunshine may turn a little hazy at times. Highest temperatures will range between 21 and 24 degrees in most places.

Tonight will be dry with long clear spells. Minimum temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in light to moderate southeast breezes.

Saturday will be dry and sunny in many areas, but cloudier in the west which will clear during the morning. The sunshine will become hazier at times during the day in light to moderate southeasterly breezes. Warm with highest afternoon temperatures of 20 to 23 degrees.

Continuing dry and sunny in most areas on Sunday, cloudier at times in the north and west of the country. Highest temperatures of 20 to 24 degrees. Sunday night will be dry with mostly clear spells with some mist and fog patches. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees, mildest in the northwest where it will be cloudiest.

Monday: Dry and sunny generally; however, the odd light shower may potentially break out during the afternoon. Another warm day with highest temperatures of 22 to 25 degrees, in light to moderate easterly breezes. Continuing dry and clear on Monday night, with lowest temperatures 9 to 12 degrees in a light easterly or variable breezes.
