WEATHER: Cloudy day, but promises some good spells

Today will be another mostly cloudy day with patches of rain or drizzle, but there will be some good dry spells also, according to Met Éireann. Cool for the time of year with highest temperatures of 14 or 15 degrees Celsius in Ulster, in light, southwest or variable breezes.

Scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle will move eastwards overnight with local mist and fog too. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees Celsius, in light northwest breezes.

Some brighter spells on Wednesday but overall cloudy with scattered outbreaks of showery rain. Again cool for the time of year; highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees Celsius, in light variable mainly northwest breezes.
