Winners of Garda art competition announced

The competition asked young kids to get creative by designing their own poster under the theme of 'Covid-19 Social Distancing'.

The winners of an art competition organised by local Gardaí for national school students in the Cavan District have been announced.

The competition asked young kids to get creative by designing their own poster under the theme of 'Covid-19 Social Distancing', with the winners and other entrants having their artpost put on display at Garda Stations across the county.

On Tuesday last gardaí announced the winners, and welcomed those successful artists to a presentation of prizes at Cavan Garda Station.

The competition was organised by Garda Antoinette Prior and received a very positive response.

Garda Inspector Niall McKiernan was on hand to make the presentations to each of the winners.

'Congratulations to the winners and well done and thanks to all the boys and girls who took part and sent in their lovely artwork', gardaí posted on social media.
