An invite to the big house

The Carrickmacross Lions Club are hosting a unique event later this month as Lough Fea estate, the home of the Shirley family in Carrickmacross, opens to the public on Sunday July 26.

Visitors are invited to bring a picnic basket and €10 for the Lough Fea Estate Ramble. Mr Philip Shirley has granted access to the estate as a The Carrickmacross Lions Club fundraise.

Visitors not only will get a chance to view the remarkable grounds but also the Great Hall, The Private Church, and unique views across Lough Fea. The entrance is via the main gate on the Kingscourt Road.

The Estate will be open from 12 noon to 6 pm on Sunday 26th July with car parking provided on site.

The Carrickmacross Lions Club support a range of worthy local charities. These include providing a weekly bus bringing Alzheimer Patients to a day centre. The Lions Clubs is always open to new members.
