Man with knife in Cootehill apprehended by gardaí
A man is in garda custody following an incident involving a knife in the Cootehill area this afternoon.
Gardaí responded to an incident at approximately 3:30pm on Sunday, August 2.
A male, aged in his 40s, was observed by gardaí in possession of a knife and subsequently apprehended by gardaí.
No injuries were incurred during the course of the incident.
The man was arrested at the scene and is currently detained in Bailieborough Garda Station.
