20 new jobs for Oldcastle

Twenty new jobs will be created in the Kelletts factory in Oldcastle bringing to 60 the number of new jobs at the bed factory this year.

The family run company which supplies to over 300 retailers nationally and has kitted out hotels around the world will shortly be recruiting for an additional 20 workers, having already created 40 new jobs when they reopened after the Covid-19 lockdown last month.

The factory, which manufactures under the Respa brand, currently employs 188 in Oldcastle and has plans for an additional 4,500sq foot manufacturing facility.

“It is an amazing feeling to be able to take on additional staff,” says Darren Kellett, who along with his brother, Robert is the third generation of Kelletts to run the business.

Kelletts have fitted out hotels such as the Virgina Park Lodge, Ashford Castle, the Shelbourne, the Sanderson in London and Fota Island Resort.
