Good weather on the way

Although there may be scattered showers today it looks like good weather is on the way. Met Éireann, the Irish National Meteorological Service, are predicting four days of 20C+ temperatures with summer-like weather again.

This morning will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and just limited bright or sunny spells. Cloud will thicken during the afternoon and heavy and persistent rain will move into west and north Ulster from the Atlantic. Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees with moderate to fresh west to southwest winds, increasing strong near coasts.

Rain will continue in northwest Ulster for a time tonight, but will gradually clear away to the north overnight. Elsewhere it will be dry and cloudy. Continuing breezy with fresh to strong and gusty southwesterly winds, near gale at times near coasts in the west and north. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees.

Any rain near the northwest coast will clear early tomorrow morning. It will be mostly cloudy to begin with, but it will brighten up later in the afternoon and into the evening with sunny spells developing. Highest temperatures will range between 17 and 21 degrees, warmest in the east. Fresh and gusty southwesterly winds will ease to moderate in the afternoon.
