Search underway for suspect in Thai woman's murder

Gardaí in Cavan are assisting the the search for a suspect in the savage murder of a woman in Thailand. Neil Henry Elliott (48) is wanted in connection with the killing of a sex worker called Onn, in Pattaya.

The Fermanagh man reportedly admitted to Thai police that he was responsible for the killing.

The woman was reportedly attacked with a snooker cue “until it snapped” and finally murdered with a machete in what has been described as “a drug fuelled sex session”.

Thai police officers discovered Ms Onn, aged between 35-40, in the bathroom of Mr Elliott's rented bungalow.

Cavan gardaí confirmed to The Anglo-Celt that they are working in close liason with their colleagues in the PSNI and Interpol as searches proceed on both sides of the border.
