Restrictions on Mountainlodge, Billis-Lavey Group Water Schemes continue

The latest update from Cavan County Council shows that the 'Do Not Consume’ notices remain in place for both Mountainlodge and Billis-Lavey Group Water Schemes.

Consumers are strongly advised to follow the advice set out in the notice issued to customers of both schemes and to avail of the alternative water sources available at designated locations.

Cavan County Council say they are continuing to work closely with both Mountainlodge and Billis-Lavey Group Water Schemes and their key stakeholders to resolve the exceedance issue. Work is ongoing with a view to meeting the required criteria and having the ‘Do Not Consume’ notice lifted.

Cavan County Council first issued the 'Do Not Consume' notice to homes and businesses who subscribe to the Mountainlodge Group Water Scheme in early July. The areas affected are Laragh, Tunnyduff, parts of Poles, and Mountainlodge.

Cavan County Council’s website and social media channels will be updated to remind consumers that the notice remains in effect and have asked both schemes to do the same.
