Waterway event to focus on Derrycreevy River and Lough Muckno
The history, health and future of the Derrycreevy River, Castleblayney, will be explored at ‘Our Water Story: Past, Present and Future – from Annyalla and Cremartin to Castleblayney’, taking place in Cremartin Hall on Wednesday, November 11, at 7.30pm.
The public event will bring together guest speakers, agency representatives and local groups with an interest in rivers, lakes and the wider catchment. Discussions will examine the heritage of the waterway and its importance as one of the rivers flowing into Lough Muckno, while also focusing on how it can be protected for future generations. Chaired by Bernie O’Hanrahan, the evening will include questions and discussion from those attending.
