“We continue to offer virtual tours and through the mySherryFitz.ie portal. Buyers can make offers and chat to us online or over the phone. We conducted over 100 virtual viewings, which in turn led to offers being made and several successful completions.”

Since resuming on-site property services in June, Mr Woods reports that business has been “brisk”.

“There has been a sharp increase in interest from UK and city-based residents wanting to locate to the countryside, coupled with local buyers and investors. People’s priorities are changing, with many desiring more outdoor space and having more flexibility to work from home. Equally we have witnessed strong interest from those potential buyers who are keen to start their property journey and get a foot on the property ladder,” he said.

While Brexit uncertainty impacted the market last year, Mr Woods has found the same is not true as a result of Coronavirus.“Brexit may have forced a lot of people to put their plans on hold and the initial expectation was that COVID-19 would have the same effect. However, this has not been borne out.

“The initial unease and uncertainly has been replaced with a buoyancy and demand across the board in every sector.COVID-19 has given us all time to think and reflect. It has opened our eyes to what really is important to everyone.
