Rain on the way

Make use of the dry weather while it's hear because Met Éireann are predicting that rain is on the way.

It will be mostly dry with sunny spells and just a few isolated showers to start today, however, cloud will gradually build from the Atlantic through the afternoon, with rain developing on western coasts later in the evening. Maximum afternoon temperatures of 12 or 13 degrees, in a light northwesterly or variable breeze, later increasing moderate southerly on Atlantic coasts.

Rain, heavy at times will extend eastwards overnight followed by scattered showers. Minimum temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees, coolest in the east early in the night. Light to moderate southerly winds will veer northwesterly behind the rain increasing moderate to fresh, and strong on Atlantic coasts.

Monday will be a cool, bright and mostly dry to start with sunny spells and scattered showers developing during the afternoon. Maximum temperatures of 11 to 12 degrees, in moderate to fresh northwesterly winds.
