Cavan's clash with Kildare televised this weekend

Cavan's hunt for promotion will be televised when they take on Kildare this weekend. The covid-19 enforced hiatus came with Mickey Graham's men in third place in Division 2, a single point behind Armagh and old rivals Roscommon.

The top two teams will face each other this Saturday evening (5.30pm and live on RTE), which should provide Cavan with the opportunity to leapfrog one of them on Sunday afternoon and enhance their chances of promotion to Division 1.

The Cavan v Kildare match has a 2pm throw-in on Sunday, and it will be live streamed on the TG4 player. Alternatively, deferred coverage of the full match will be screened on TG4 at 5.40pm.

Kildare have had an appalling league season, languishing in seventh and facing the indignation of relegation to Division 3. Of course many months have passed since any of the counties have kicked a size five in anger and so there is literally no form book going into the final two rounds of the league.

Cavan will complete their campaign at home to Roscommon, in what could prove a decider in who wins promotion. A win in Newbridge would set up that final round nicely.
