Dr. John James Clarke

Stillorgan, Dublin / Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

Clarke, Dr. John James, Stillorgan, Dublin (late of UCD & Kilcully, Ballyjamesduff, Co Cavan). Suddenly on Saturday morning (October 17th, 2020), after a short illness in the loving care of the staff at The Beacon Hospital.

Predeceased by his wife Hazel, son Brendan and daughter Karen. Loving father of Lisa and Paul, son-in-law Fergus and daughter-in-law Stella; "Popa" to Benoit, Ailish, Katie and Ciara.

He will be sadly missed by his partner Valerie, sisters Marie and Kathleen, brothers Seamus and Tony, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

Briege Martin (née Brennan)

Rathmore, Donaghmoyne, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Briege Martin (née Brennan), Rathmore, Donaghmoyne, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda Friday 16th October 2020.

Predeceased by her husband Pat and daughter Concepta. Beloved mother of Thomas, Rosie and Julie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her son, daughters, sisters-in-law Kate McCabe and Ann Meegan, daughter-in-law Kerrie, sons-in-law Pat, David and Paddy, grandchildren Darragh, Jack, Ella, Aoife, Grace, Anthony and Katie, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

In an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and in respect of Government Guidelines for Level 4, Briege's funeral and burial will be celebrated privately with her family. Briege’s funeral cortège will travel from her residence on Tuesday morning to arrive at St. Lastra’s Church, Donaghmoyne for Requiem Mass at 12 noon.

Bartle (Batty) Hennessy, Tonashammer, Hilltown, Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath, October 16th, suddenly, at his residence.

Predeceased by his wife Bernie. Deeply regretted by his son David, daughter Eithne, brother Patsy (Edinburgh) and his sister Julie (London), brothers in law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

In keeping with current government guidelines, Bartle's Funeral Mass will take place in St. Feichin's Church, Fore, on Sunday, October 18th, at 2pm.

Burial afterwards in St. Mary's Cemetery, Collinstown.
