Mary McCaul (nee Gilsenan) Drumeena, Redhills, Co Cavan, 28/10/20, at Cavan General Hospital.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Michael, son Sean, daughters Caroline, Lorraine, Therese, daughter-in-law Phyllis, brothers Francie (Cashel), Sean (Trim), sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Remains leaving Cavan General Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, arriving at St. Brigid's Church, Killoughter, Redhills at 6pm (via Treehoo Cross). Funeral will take place on Friday after 12 noon Mass, to adjoining cemetery.

Due to Government restrictions, funeral will be private to family, friends and neighbours.

Anyone wishing to stand outside, please keep your social distance and wear a face mask.

Owen McGovern

Altnasheen, Glangevlin, Cavan

The death has occurred of Owen (Oney) McGovern, Altnasheen, Glangevlin, Co Cavan, on the 28th October 2020, peacefully, in the arms of his loving family at home.

Beloved husband of Kathleen, loving father of Kathleen Ellis (Mohill), Lucy (Dublin), Maureen Regan (Effernagh), Pete (Bawnboy), Margaret Wynne (Kilnagross), Eugene, Pauline Daly (Drumcong), Sharon Gould (Bawnboy), sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Reposing at his residence on Thursday, 29th October, from 4 pm to 7 pm for family and friends. Strictly family at all other times. Funeral Mass in St Patrick's Church, Glangevlin, on Friday, 30th October 2020, at 11 am followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Numbers are limited to 25 persons in the church.

Please adhere to COVID 19 government guidelines in relation to social distancing, if in attendance.

Mary Nolan

Peacefully, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Sadie.

Deeply regretted by her sisters Rita Casey (Ballinagh) and Sadie Nolan (Greystones), brother-in-law Noel, nephews Jerry and Ciaran, grandnephew Brandon, Mary's partner David, relatives neighbours and friends.

Following government guidelines on public gatherings, observing social distancing, wearing face masks and avoiding handshaking; Mary's funeral cortège will arrive at Holycross Abbey on Friday, 30th October, at 11am for Requiem Mass at 11.30am.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Numbers are limited to 25 persons in the Church.

Mary McKenna (née Lee)

Monaghan / Fermanagh / Leitrim

The death has occurred of Mary McKenna nee Lee, Hollyrood Gardens, London, Friday 16th October, peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her loving husband James, son Owen and daughter Mary.

Very sadly missed by her sons and extended family.

Mary's remains will be repatriated on Thursday 29th October, to arrive at St.Patrick's Church, Clara, Killybrone, Co. Monaghan, H18 W602 at 5pm.

Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday morning at 11am, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Due to current government guidelines, Mary's funeral mass will be limited to 25 people only.

Josephine Collins (née Mc Gillick)

Kells, Meath

The death has occurred, peacefully, of Josephine Collins (nee Mc Gillick) Fulham, London and formerly Gravelstown, Carlanstown, Kells, Co. Meath, peacefully, in London.

Josephine will fondly be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

Josephine was predeceased by her husband Nicolas and her daughter Christina and survived by her loving daughter Elizabeth, sons James, Patrick and Nicolas, her sister Margaret, her brother Eugene, grandchildren and great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, in laws and a wide circle of family and friends both in England and Ireland.

Josephine's funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Brigid (Brigie) Wogan (née Briody)

Davidstown, Slane, Meath

Peacefully at her home, in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husband Paddy.

Brigid will be very sadly missed by her daughter Bernadette, her sons John, Eugene, Pat, Aidan & Paul, grandchildren Emma, Dwayne, Maeve, Rebecca, Robyn, Jennifer, Padraic, Thomas & Ashling, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

Arriving to St. Patrick's Church, Slane, on Friday, for Funeral Mass at 11am.

Burial afterwards in the Hill of Slane Cemetery.

Kathleen Coughlan (née Finlay)

Kilcoole, Wicklow / Castleblayney, Monaghan

Kathleen Coughlan née Finlay of Main Street Kilcoole and formerly of Oram, Castleblayney Co Monaghan who passed away 25th October 2020 at her home.

Beloved wife of the late Maurice; she will be sadly missed by her daughters Ellen, Teresa and Catherine, son Maurice, sister Rose, grandchildren Shirley, Jonathan, Stuart, Andrew, Leanne, Joy, Robyn, Fern and Ronnie, great grandchildren Mazey, Ryan, Millie, Max, Mila and Eilibh, extended family and friends.

Removal from the William Doyle Funeral Home, Kilcoole, on Saturday morning to St Anthony’s Church, Kilcoole, arriving for a private family funeral Mass at 11.30am followed by a committal service at Mount Jerome Crematorium.

Corrinshigo, Braddox, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Joe Donnelly, Corrinshigo, Braddox, Co. Monaghan, Wednesday, October 28th, peacefully, at St Mary’s Hospital, Castleblayney.

Joe, deeply regretted and remembered with love by his family, brothers Willie and Leo, sisters Betty Donnelly and Dympna Dorris, brother in-law Oliver, nephews Malachy and Paul, nieces Caroline and Deborah, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Joe’s funeral cortège will travel from his late residence on Friday morning (turning right) to arrive at St Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan, for funeral Mass at 11am, via Rackwallace and Castleshane, followed by burial in Latlurcan Cemetery, Monaghan.

Kathleen (Evelyn) Egan (née Davitt)

Castlepollard, Westmeath

The death has occurred on Wednesday, October 28th of Kathleen (Evelyn) Egan (née Davitt), Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath; peacefully, at home, in the loving care of her husband and family.

Predeceased by her sister Brigid.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Tom, daughters Una, Carmel, Kathleen, Nóirín and Mary; sons-in-law, thirteen grandchildren; brothers Liam (Hysie), Pat and Tom, sisters Maureen, Noreen, Eilish and Sabina; brothers-in-law Eamon, Paddy, Dominic and Michael Egan, Gerry Doran and Pat Sheridan; sisters-in-law Imelda and Paula Davitt; nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Jerry Murphy

Belturbet and New York

On October 24, 2020 Hugh G. Murphy, known as 'Jerry', passed away peacefully after a long illness at the age of 81.

Jerry was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Bridie (nee Canning) of 55 years.

He is survived by his beloved children Theresa Ann and son in law Bobby, Gerard Thomas and daughter in law Eileen, cherished grandchildren MaryKate, Reagan and Owen, his brother James as well as several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Jerry was born on June 2, 1939 to James and Mary (Connelly) Murphy in County Monaghan, Ireland.

Jerry was the youngest of five siblings- Thomas, John, Maureen and James.

Jerry immigrated with family to New York, where he went to school and studied to be an electrician. In 1960 Jerry met Bridie while at social in New York. They were married in 1964 in County Longford, Ireland.

Jerry loved Gaelic Football and played in New York for County Longford, where teammates ended up being lifelong friends.

In 1993 Jerry retired and returned to his native Ireland, where he and his wife settled into a good life with family and friends in Belturbet, Cavan.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, October 28 at St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville, NY. Private Cremation Services followed.
