Widespread showers round off wet weekend

Sunday night to remain “blustery” with further outbreaks of rain and showers travelling on westerly prevailing winds.

Widespread showers and some longer spells of rain and risks of hail are being predicted, completing what has been a fairly wet weekend for most of the country.

Intermittent “sunny spells” will though off some short reprieve, with highest temperatures reaching nine to 12 degrees.

Sunday night however will remain “blustery” with further outbreaks of rain and showers travelling on westerly prevailing winds.

Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees, occurring early in the night, Met Eireann warn.
