Free computer course for farmers

Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board (CMETB) is launching a new computer skills course for local farmers.

The course, which is a Skills for Work initiative, is funded by the Department of Education and Skills through SOLAS.

The new course, Computer Skills for Farmers, will offer practical support to farmers in a time where we are all greatly reliant on technology to communicate.

The training will cover elements of using the internet, email, Zoom and accessing mart auctions online to trade livestock. Training is provided by fully qualified tutors and participants do not need any previous computer experience to take part in the programme. The course is open to any full-time and part-time farmers.

The Skills for Work Initiative is a national programme aiming to offer training and upskilling opportunities through an array of training courses delivered through local Education and Training Boards (ETBs).
