A cold day ahead, but likely to be dry

Tuesday will start off mostly dry with frost slow to clear, and icy stretches on roads. It'll be a mostly dry day with sunny spells during the morning and isolated showers in the northwest, cloud will increase through the afternoon. Light rain and drizzle will arrive into the south of the province after dark. Feeling cold with highs of just 3 to 6 degrees in light variable winds.

Outbreaks of rain edging into the south and east of Ulster early tonight. Remaining mostly dry in the northwest with an early frost. Lows of 1 to 4 degrees in freshening northerly winds.

Tomorrow

A cloudy morning, but mostly dry with just a few showers on the Donegal coast and any rain in the east dying away. A clearance to sunny spells slowly making its way southeastwards through the afternoon. Highs of 6 or 7 degrees in freshening northerly winds.
