Extra hospital beds at Monaghan Hospital
Five additional beds have recently opened at Monaghan Hospital, with more to come on stream on a phased basis in the coming months.
The new beds, attached to the new 23-bed intermediate care unit, are being installed as part of Winter Plan 2020.
Services at Monaghan Hospital include theatre, day and diagnostic services, ambulatory care, a Minor Injury Unit and other out-patient services.
It also has 20 rehabilitation in-patient beds and 11 step-down bed for patients discharged from acute hospital.
The expansion of outpatient services at Monaghan follow an extension of endoscopy services earlier this year.
