Thomas Gargan

The death has occurred of Thomas Gargan, Srahan, Bailieborough, Cavan.

Thomas died on January 3, 2021, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, following a stay in the O'Sullivan Centre, Cavan. Predeceased by his parents alice and John, infant sister Elizabeth Mary. Sadly missed by his loving siblings Philip and Ita (Cullivan), sister in law Julie, brother in law Con, nephew PJ, nieces Alison, Lizzie and Sheila, grandnephew Killian Thomas, in-laws Roisin and Brian, relatives and friends.

Due to current government and HSE guidelines, Thomas's funeral will be private to family only. Please Thomas's funeral procession will leave Clarke's Funeral Home on Tuesday morning at 10.30am and will pass by Thomas's residence in Srahan, en route to St Patrick's Church, Tierworker, for funeral Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in Old Moybologue Cemetery.

Family flowers only, please, donations in lieu, if desired, to The Alzheimer's Society Ireland.

Monica Donnelly (née Farrelly)

The death has occurred of Monica Donnelly (née Farrelly), Ernehill, Belturbet, Cavan.

Monica died on January 2, 2021, suddenly at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her mother Maisie, father Michael, brothers Hugh and Paul. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband Hugh, daughters Fiona and Caroline, son Peter, sons-in-law Gordan and Mathew, daughter-in-law Helen, grandchildren Charlie, Nancy, Sunny, Dallán and Jade, sister Catherine, brother Michael, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Remains will leave her residence on Monday, January 4, at 1.30pm to arrive at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Belturbet, for Funeral Mass at 2pm with burial afterwards in Drumalee Cemetery.

For those who wish to show their support along the route, you are asked to do so in a socially distant and safe manner. House strictly private.

Sean Drumm

The death has occurred of Sean Drumm Drummetta Road Aghalane, Teemore, Fermanagh / Belturbet, Cavan. The sudden death of Sean happened on January 2, 2021 in his 69th year. Sean, very deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wife Mary (nee Melanophy), sons Ronan & Colm, their partners Aideen and Tara, grandson Aodan, brother Francis and sisters Moira, Sheila,Rosaleen, Carmel and Christina, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements later. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family home at Drumetta Rd is private to friends and family only, please. Family flowers only please, donations, in lieu, to RNLI Search and Rescue.

Patricia Conaty

The death has occurred of Patricia Conaty (nee Tierney), Stramatt, Virginia, Cavan.

Late of Greaghagibney, Bailieborough. Peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, Aged 60 years. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her beloved husband Gerry, her children Derek, (Lisnalee, Bailieborough), Laura Mulvaney and Killian, (Manchester), brother Larry, (Greaghagibney, Bailieborough), sister Regina McCaul, (Shercock), son and daughters in law, Peter, Pamela and Samantha, her adored grandchildren Mya, Tommie, Daithi, Noah and Eabha Rose, brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

In strict compliance and accordance with current government guidelines on public gatherings, a private family only funeral mass will take place on Monday at 12 noon in St. Matthew's Church, Maghera. Followed by interment in Maghera Cemetery.

Patricia's funeral cortège will leave her home on Monday next at 11.40am, for those who wish to show their support along the route, you are asked to do so in a socially distant and safe manner. Patricia's family wish to express their appreciation for your understanding and support at this difficult time.

Fr Eugene Clarke

The death has occurred of Fr Eugene Clarke, Brookside, Cavan Town, Cavan / Bailieborough, Cavan. Fr Eugene Clarke, retired P.P, ( Drumcor)., Brookside, Farnham Rd, Cavan Town and formerly Tullynaskeagh, Bailieboro, Co Cavan. Friday January 1st 2021 , peacefully in Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents May & Michael, sisters Maureen, Rosie & Lil and brothers Benny & Philip. Sadly missed by his loving family, his brother Fr Bosco (Buckinghamshire, England), nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces & all his extended family. Deeply regretted by Bishop Martin Hayes, retired Bishop Leo O'Reilly and all the clergy of the Diocese of Kilmore. Also missed by his former parishioners, his good neighbours, all his carers that looked after him so well and his many friends.

Fr Eugene's remains will leave the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan on Monday, January 4 ,at 1.30pm , travelling via Farnham Rd, and on to St Patrick's Church, Drumcor, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial will be afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Those standing along the route to pay their final respects to Fr Eugene are welcome to do so but are asked to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Fr Eugene's family would like to thank you all for your cooperation & understanding at this time.

Anna Kinsella (née Cusack)

The death has occurred of Anna Kinsella (née Cusack) Shankill, Cavan. Anna Kinsella (nee Cusack) Luton, Bedfordshire and formerly Shankill, Cavan. Passed away peacefully on Thursday 10th December 2020. Sadly missed by all her family.

The death has occurred of Aidan McGuinness, Waterloo, Bailieborough, Cavan. Aidan McGuinness, Waterloo, Bailieborough, Co Cavan, died January 1, 2021 peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his parents Edward and Bridget, brothers Sean, Packie-Joe, Gerard and Mick, sister Nancy and granddaughter Ciara.

Deeply regretted by his wife Maura, daughters Kathleen, Anna-Marie and Mary, sons Edward and Michael, sisters Nellie and Bridget, brother Pheilim, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandson, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
