Larry Boylan, Latnadrona, Crosserlough Co. Cavan. Tuesday, January 19th (peacefully) at Oakview Nursing Home, Belturbet. Predeceased by his parents John and Katie and recently his sister Mary. Deeply regretted by his cousins, neighbours and friends.

Funeral cortege will leave Briody's Funeral Home on Thursday 21st at 11.30am via Latnadrona for Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Crosserlough at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. In accordance with current Government restrictions, attendance at Larry's Funeral Mass will be limited to 10 persons.

Pamela (Pam) O'Donovan (née Connolly)

'St. Anne's', Upper William St., Athy, Kildare / Cavan Town, Cavan

Formerly of Main St., Cavan. Pam O’Donovan passed away suddenly on the 16th January, 2021 in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin. Beloved wife of the late Denis (Fran) and sister of the late Liam, Brian, Seán and Patsy. Sadly missed by her loving children Denis (Derek), Colette, Therese, Paula, Lorna, Annemarie, Rory and Pamela, brother Joe, sisters Mona and Eileen, sons-in-law Derek, Barry, Franc and Garry, daughters-in-law Ann and Sinéad, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, her twelve adored grandchildren Colin, Shannon, Sarah, Mark, Anna, Luke, Adam, TJ, Ciara, Ben, Syve and Emily, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Due to government restrictions a private family Requiem Mass will take place at 2pm on Wednesday afternoon (20th January) in St. Michael's Parish Church, Athy, limited to 10 people. The Mass will be livestreamed, see www.parishofathy.ie. Burial afterwards in St, Michael's New Cemetery, Athy.

Anne (Nancy) Reilly

Crossragh, Mountnugent, Cavan / Oldcastle, Meath

Anne (Nancy) Reilly, Crossragh, Mountnugent, Co. Cavan, late of Park Avenue, Oldcastle, Co. Meath. 19/01/21. Peacefully in her 99th year in the exceptional care of the staff at the Maple Court Nursing Home, Castlepollard. Predeceased by her sister Elizabeth and brother Peter. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, Joe, Kathleen, Terry, Maura, Paraic and Gerard, extended family including her grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, her great-great-grandnephew and her many dear friends and neighbours.

Eileen Shalvey (née Mc Enroe)

The death has occurred of Eileen Shalvey (Nee Mc Enroe) Corragarry, Canningstown, Cootehill, Co. Cavan. January 19th 2021 peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, Cavan. Predeceased by her loving husband Phelim and extended members of the family. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, son Gabriel, daughters Una, Joan, Marian, Carmel. Lucia, Pauline and Valerie, daughter-in-law Carmel, sons-in-law Colm and Ciaran, sister Rose, brother Ned, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, her adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, neighbours and many friends.

SMITH, Kevin, Castleknock, Dublin 15 and formerly of Portaliffe, Killeshandra and Derrylahan, Ballyjamesduff, Co Cavan, January 17th, 2021, passed away peacefully in his 101st year, at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Sadly missed by his loving wife Anne, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives and friends.

Christine Clarke , Granville Street, McGee House, Dublin and late of Greagharue, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, died 18th January 2021 peacefully in the Mater Hospital Dublin. Predeceased by her parents Eddie and Bridget, sister Genevieve Carroll, brothers-in-law Peter and John and sister-in-law Sheila. Deeply regretted by her loving brothers Charlie (Bailieborough), Paddy (Artane, Dublin) and sister Marie Ahern (Brandon, Cork) sister-in-law Sheila, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Sean Leddy Kesh Road, Oldtown, Cavan and formerly Crimlin, Carrickaboy, Co Cavan. Monday January 18th Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Pre-deceased by his brother Patsy, sisters Vera Brady New York, Rose Bruen New York Josephine Leddy, Crimlin and Anne Brady Crosskeys. Sadly missed by his loving sisters, Madge Brady and Bridie Grealish New York, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral Cortége from Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan tomorrow, Wednesday, to the Cathedral of SS Patrick and Felim, Cavan to arrive for 11.00 am requiem Mass, interment afterwards in St Brigid’s Cemetery Killygarry.

The death has occurred of David Vincent (Vinny) O'Reilly, Lakeview, Virginia, Co. Cavan (and formerly of Glasnevin, Dublin and late of Irish Prison Services), peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his sisters Annette, Maureen and Rose. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Lucy, his children Geraldine, Brenda, Karen, David, Declan and Keith, his brother Eamon, his sister Doreen, sons in law Tim and Nigel, daughters in law Sharon and Nora, his adored grandchildren Conor, Niamh, Maeve, Eileen, Nora, Katie, Adam, Eoghan and Shane, his brother in law Cecil, his sister in law May, nieces, nephews, good neighbours in Virginia and Ferndale Avenue, former colleagues at Irish Prison Services and relatives and friends.

His remains will leave Matthews Funeral Home, Virginia at 8.15 on Thursday morning, via Lakeview, Virginia , arriving to Our Lady of Victories Church, Ballymun Road, Glasnevin, Dublin, for 10 o'clock Funeral Mass. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in Dardistown Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) Gormley, Cloughvalley, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, and formerly of Irvinestown, Co. Fermanagh, peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda on Monday 18th January 2021. Beloved husband of Phyllis, much loved father of Joanne (McKenna), Andrea (McGeough), Paula, Rebecca (Coughlan) and Gráinne. Sadly missed and remembered by his loving family, his adored grandchildren Niamh, Aoife, Joe, Patrick, Mary-Grace and Rénagh, brother Dermot, sisters Anne, Paula and Deirdre, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

In an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and in respect of Government Guidelines for Level 5, there will be no public wake as Michael’s funeral and burial will be celebrated privately by his family (limited to 10).

There will be an opportunity for neighbours and friends to pay their respects by lining the route to St. Joseph’s in a socially distanced manner as Michael’s funeral cortège leaves his residence on Friday morning via Farney St to arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Donaghmoyne.

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Jones, Tonaneave, Magheracloone, Co. Monaghan, peacefully at his home, 18th January 2021. Predeceased by his parents James & Bridget, brother Brendan, sisters Mary, Eileen & Delia, his nephew Jimmy Jones & Delia's infant son. Deeply regretted by brothers Packie & Michael Magheracloone and Peter New Jersey. Sadly missed by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Predeceased by his Parents Patrick and Mary Ann, his brother Phelim, his Sister Kathleen Gibney, Mullingar and his Sister Mary Bridget Quinn, New York. Deeply regretted by his sister Sally Duffy, Cornanure and his nieces and nephews.
