Eugene McKenna

Tobersool Lane, Balbriggan, Dublin / Arva, Cavan

The death has occurred after a short illness of Eugene McKenna late of Tobersool Lane, Balbriggan and formerly of Arva, Co. Cavan, (peacefully) at his home. (Predeceased by his infant son Ruaidhri). Sadly missed by his loving wife Nuala, sons Conor, Eoghan, Emmett and Sean, daughters-in-law Hannah, Jess and Ali, grandchildren, Marlow, Oisín, Patrick and Augie, sisters Grettie and Margaret, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing privately. Removal on Thursday to S.S. Peter and Paul's Church, Balbriggan arriving for 11.00 o'clock funeral mass for immediate family only. Viewable on the following link www.Balbrigganparish.com

Due to current guidelines only 10 may attend and masks are compulsory. Burial afterwards in Balscadden Old School Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers to St. Francis Hospice.

Anthony (Tony) Murphy

Killycramph, Cootehill, Cavan / Enniscorthy, Wexford

Anthony (Tony) Murphy, Killycramph, Cootehill, Co. Cavan and formerly Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, died 8th February 2021, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Eileen, brother Pat. Deeply regretted by his loving son Brian, brother Matt (Birmingham), Betty (Enniscorthy), daughter-in-law Rosemarie, sisters-in-law Kathleen, Evelyn and Nora, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Mary Ellen O'Reilly (née Sheridan)

Church Road, Kilnaleck, Cavan

Mary Ellen O'Reilly (nee Sheridan) Church Road, Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan, Tuesday, February 9th (peacefully) in the care of Cavan General Hospital. Pre-deceased by her husband Patsy, brothers James, John, sister Kathy Collins and niece Susan Rudden. Sadly missed by her loving sister Maggie Flynn, brother in law Bruddy, sisters in law, nieces and nephew, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and her neighbours.

Rest In Peace.

In line with the current Government & HSE guidelines, Mary Ellen's funeral will be private to family. Funeral Mass on Thursday (11th) at 11am in St. Patrick's Church, Kilnaleck. Interment afterwards in St. Mary's Cemetery Ballinarry.

Bernadette Teresa O'Reilly

Main St., Bailieborough, Cavan

Bernadette Teresa O’Reilly, Main St., Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, died 10 February 2021, peacefully at Our Lady's Hospital Navan in her 101st year. Predeceased by her nephews Joe and Peter. Deeply regretted by her nieces Mary and Bella, grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, family and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Funeral procession will leave Clarke's Funeral Home Saturday morning at 12.10pm to arrive at St. Anne’s Church, Bailieborough for Funeral Mass at 12.30pm with Burial afterwards in St. Anne’s Cemetery.

Please adhere to social distancing guidelines for those standing along the funeral procession. Donations in lieu of flowers , if desired, to the Female Medical Ward, Our Lady's Hospital, Navan c/o Clarke’s Funeral Home.

Walter, Samuel Steen

Cootehill, Cavan

The death has occurred of Walter Samuel Steen (Cootehill and formerly Cornawall, Newbliss) on Wednesday the 10th of February 2021, peacefully in the care of his wife and family, and the staff of Cavan General Hospital.

Deeply loved and sadly missed by his wife May, his children Sylvia Munday, Douglas and Iris Steen, his grandchildren Sam Steen and wife Aishling, Colm and Katie Munday, great-grandson Conor Steen, sisters Ella Nesbitt, Evelyn Hession and Rose Preece, brother-in-law Denis Hession, nephews, nieces and extended family and friends.

Predeceased by his brothers Ernest and George, and sister Edith.

Walter will be reposing at his home at 16 Cavan Road, Cootehill, Co Cavan from Thursday the 11th of February until removal on Friday the 12th of February. The walking funeral cortege will leave his home on Friday the 12th of February at 1.45pm to arrive at Cootehill Presbyterian Church for private funeral service at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Due to continued restrictions on public gatherings, the house and funeral service will be private.

In keeping with Government guidelines please adhere to current social distancing throughout the funeral.

Michael Garland

Mullyore, Coolderry, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Michael Garland. Mullyore, Coolderry, Carrickmacross. 10th February 2021. Peacefully, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by his beloved wife Sarah, his parents Michael & Mary and his sisters Annie & Mary. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his sisters Kay (McArdle), and his brother Matt, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

In accordance with current guidelines Michael's Funeral Mass will take place privately for family only (limited to 10) in St Patrick's Church, Rock Chapel, Upper Magheracloone, on Friday, 12th February, at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

There will be an opportunity for the community to pay their respects, in a socially distanced manner, by lining the route as Michael's funeral cortège leaves Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home on Friday morning at 10:30am travelling via Michael's late home, Mullyore, proceeding to St. Patrick's Church.

To keep each other safe it is important that we follow government and HSE guidelines, wear face coverings, adhere to social distancing and refrain from hand shaking and hugging.
