Bridget O'Beirne (née Lynch)

Mountnugent, Cavan

Bridget O’Beirne (nee Lynch), Formerly of Dungimmon Upper, Mountnugent, Co. Cavan. 15/02/21. Peacefully in the loving care of the staff at St. Joseph's Nursing Home, Virginia. Predeceased by her husband Martin, sister May and brother Jim.

Loving mother to Bernadette, Rosaleen, Francis, Kieran, Paul, Cathal, Breege, Fergal, Diane, Michelle and Deirdre, sister of Joan and Vincent. Wonderful grandmother to Sarah, Rebecca, Ruth, Liam, Conor, Aislinn, Jack, Luke, Cian, Ava, Louie, Caoimhe and great-grandmother to Rian, Éala, Joey & Bobby. Sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

In line with the current Government/HSE guidelines the funeral and family home will be private for family only. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, 17th February, at 1pm in St. Brigid's Church, Mountnugent. Burial afterwards in Ballinacree Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Palliative Care.

John Shannon

Hollywood, Scotstown, Monaghan / Belturbet, Cavan

The death has occurred of John Shannon, Hollywood, Ballinode, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Clonosey, Belturbet, Co. Cavan. Tuesday 16th February, peacefully at his home in the loving care of his heartbroken family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Brigid (nee McKenna – Larry), son-in-law Stephen and his brothers and sisters.

Sadly missed by his son Joe, daughter in law Louise, daughter Therese and her fiancé Gordon. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Jack, Iain, Leah, Shannon, Ethan, Sarah and Lucas.

John’s remains will leave his residence at 10.30 on Thursday morning to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Urbleshanney for 11am funeral mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral mass will be streamed live on 'Tydavnet Parish RC Churches' Facebook page. Family flowers only please.

Due to current restrictions, John's house, funeral Mass & burial will be private to family only. Anyone wishing to pay their respects to John may do so as his funeral cortège travels from the family home to St.Mary’s Urbleshanney. Please ensure to adhere to social distancing guidelines at all times.

Peter McCabe

Corrygarry, Castleblayney, Monaghan

Peter’s funeral arrangements for today Wednesday February 17th, have been cancelled due to the death of his brother John, funeral arrangements for their joint funerals will follow later.

The death has occurred of Peter McCabe, Corrygarry, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, Monday, February 15th, peacefully, in the tender loving care of the staff of St Mary’s Hospital Castleblayney. Peter, deeply regretted and remembered with love by his sister Maggie (Birmingham), nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nieces, grand nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Peter’s Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.

Peter’s funeral cortège will travel from Ward's Funeral Home, Castleblayney, on Wednesday morning at 10.20am to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Broomfield, via Dick Adair’s and Podgies Cross, stopping briefly at his late residence (Lane end) and Toome GAA Grounds, for funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Due to Level 5 restrictions on numbers at funeral ceremonies, Peter’s funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family (limited to 10) funeral home and house private, please.

Mickey Kelly

Carn Dun, Clones, Monaghan

Mickey passed away peacefully in the Mater Hospital Dublin, after a short illness, bravely borne. Predeceased by his father John. Cherished husband of Deirdre, and adored father of Luke. Mickey will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, son, heartbroken mother Frances, Sisters Christine (Gerry Mc Dermott), Brenda (Colm Maguire), brothers John (Lucy), and Colin, mother-in-law Cissie, father-in-law Packie, sister-in-law Marie (Gene Murphy), brothers-in-law Gerard (Geraldine), Michael and Niall (Joan), aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, extended family, neighbours, work colleagues, friends and by all who knew and loved him.

Mickey's funeral cortège will travel from the family home at approximately 10.30am to arrive at the Sacred Heart Church, Clones, for 11am Funeral Mass on Friday morning.

Due to COVID19 government restrictions, the Mass and burial will be private to family and restricted to 10 people. For those who wish to pay their respects, please adhere to HSE guidelines and maintain 2m social distance.

John McArdle

Tullycollive, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of John McArdle, formerly of Tullycollive, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, following an illness at his residence in West Islip, New York. Son of late John and Kathleen McArdle (née McCreesh). Much loved husband of Laurie and loving father of J.P., Ryan and Jack. Very sadly missed by his brother Tom(Limerick), sisters Marie Carroll (Navan), Anne Cusack (Cavan), mother-in-law Marilyn, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and many friends and work colleagues.

A funeral service and cremation will take place in West Islip. A Mass and celebration of John's life, with internment of his ashes in the family plot in Castleblayney will take place at a future date post Covid restrictions.

May McKenna (Hughie)

Derrykinnighmore, Emyvale, Monaghan

The death has occurred of May (Mary) McKenna (Hughie), Derrykinnighmore, Emyvale, Co.Monaghan, Tuesday 16th February peacefully at her residence in the loving care of her family in her 100th year.

Pre-deceased by her husband Jimmy, son Johnny and daughter Patricia. Sadly missed by her loving sons and daughters, Eddie, Jimmy, Rosemary, Bridie, Gerard, Maria, Philomena, Macartan, Enda, Monica, Teresa, Oliver, Dympna, Josephine and Valerie, sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers in law and sisters in law, extended family and friends.

Maureen O'Donnell (née Macklin)

The Wood, Kilnadrain, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

The Death has occurred of Maureen O'Donnell (neé Macklin), The Wood, Kilnadrain, Monaghan on Tuesday the 16th February, peacefully in her 94th year,in the presence of her loving daughter Mary, loving granddaughter Anna and dear son-in-law Martin Nugent. Maureen is predeceased by her beloved husband John. Deeply mourned also by her loving daughter Margaret (USA), son-in-law Michael Newman & Amber Newman (USA) and her much loved nieces & nephews.

Maureen will be leaving her home on Thursday morning at 10:30am to arrive at St Macartan's Cathedral for 11am Funeral Mass, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Derrygasson, Emyvale, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Jolanta Poskiene, Glaslough Road, Derrygasson, Emyvale, Co. Monaghan and formerly Mazeikiai, Lithuania. Tuesday 16th February peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

Jolanta's remains will repose at McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale on Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm to 9pm. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines at all times.

Jolanta's remains will leave McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale on Friday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Corracrin for 11am funeral Mass. Cremation will take place afterwards at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Anyone wishing to pay their respects may do so as Jolanta's funeral cortege travels to St. Patrick's Church, Corracrin on Friday morning. If you wish to leave a message for the family, please do so in the condolences section below.
