DeWitt signs up for letter writing project

Acclaimed writer Patrick DeWitt has been enlisted for an exciting new letter writing project.

Patrick author of ‘The Sisters Brothers’ will write a series of letters to members of the public in Cavan over the coming weeks to reach out and connect with the community, and in particular older people. Each week, project participants will receive a letter from the writer which they are encouraged (but not obliged) to respond to by return post.

At the end of the project, those who participated will be invited to meet Patrick, joining him online for a virtual cup of tea. The letter writing event is organised by the Ramor Theatre, together with the Live Network.

Patrick DeWitt is the author of the critically acclaimed Ablutions, as well as the novels Undermajordomo Minor and The Sisters Brothers, which was short-listed for the Man Booker Prize. Born in British Columbia, Canada, Patrick now resides in Portland, Oregon.

‘Yours Sincerely – Patrick DeWitt’ is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland as part of Ramor’s programme of events during lockdown.

There is a limit on the number of participants for this project. Register your interest via email: ramortheatre@cavancoco.ie before Friday, February 19.
