Declan woods takes top Sherry Fitzgerald award

A Cavan auctioneer has been honoured at a national level by the franchise under which he operates his business.

Declan Woods excelled on the Sherry Fitzgerald national stage when he was recently named the All-Ireland member of the year.

The awards took place during the Sherry FitzGerald annual conference on Friday, February 12 last, with an online attendance of over 250 professionals from across the company’s network of owned and franchised offices.

Des O’Malley, managing director, Sherry FitzGerald Countrywide, announcing the winner said there was a high standard of professionalism and excellence across the franchise network, but the person that shone through was Declan Woods, Sherry Fitzgerald in Cavan.

Declan Woods joined the Sherry FitzGerald network in 2015. Alongside his team of Sinead, Alison and Deirdre, they embraced change and adapted their business to encompass the Sherry FitzGerald 'know how' and technology with ease and enthusiasm.

“The team has successfully adjusted to change, while consistently delivering exceptional customer experience along the way,” said Mr O'Malley, praising the Cavan team.

Declan Woods accepted the award and paid tribute to his staff: “We are humbled to have been chosen to receive this accolade and award. As a team we strive to be the best we can be, while embodying the core values of the Sherry FitzGerald group.”

He added that, being part of the Sherry FitzGerald network, is something they value, appreciate and take proud in.
