It is with regret that we note the deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Isabel MC QUADE (née Smyth)

Springwell, Ballinafad, Sligo / Boyle, Roscommon / Virginia, Cavan

Isabel Mc Quade (née Smyth), Springwell, Ballinafad, Co. Sligo, February 24th 2021: Peacefully, in the loving care of the staff and nurses at Abbeyhaven Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her husband Rev. William, Isabel will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Paul, daughter-in-law Kamla, grandsons Thomas and Patrick, nephew, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

At Peace.

Removal from her home to The Church of Ireland, Virginia, Co. Cavan, on Saturday (February 27th) for funeral service at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining Graveyard. However, due to current Government guidelines, regarding public gatherings, Isabel’s funeral will take place privately to family only please.

JP Tate

23 Newline, Cootehill, Cavan

The death has occured of JP ( John Patrick ) Tate, Cootehill, and formerly of Drumgoon, Cootehill Co. Cavan on Thursday the 25th of February. Predeceased by his parents Terence and Mary Tate. Suddenly at his home. Sadly missed by his partner Yvonne, his brother Brian Tate, nephew, niece, extended family and friends.

Resting at his home from Friday the 26th of February. Funeral cortege will leave his residence on Saturday the 27th of February at 11:30 to arrive at St Michael's Church, Cootehill (via Newline, Church Street, Market Street) for funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Drumgoon Hill Old Graveyard.

Due to continued restrictions on public gatherings the house and funeral Mass will be private.

In keeping with Government guidelines please adhere to current social distancing throughout the funeral.

Thomas ( Tommy ) Mc Ardle

Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Thomas (Tommy) Mc Ardle, Annahale, Castleblayney Co Monaghan, Wednesday 24th February 2021 peacefully in Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Kathleen. Thomas will be missed by his brothers Eugene, Sean and their families, his cousin Rose Clerkin (Monaghan) and her family, his good friend Martin, his entire family circle, friends and neighbours.

May Thomas Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.

Thomas' remains will leave Brendan Hughes & Sons on Friday at 10.30am to arrive at St. Mary's Church, Castleblayney for 11am funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Thomas' funeral Mass will streamed live on the link https://www.churchservices.tv/muckno

Due to Level 5 restrictions on numbers at funeral ceremonies, Thomas' funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family (limited to 10) family home is private please.

Patrick (Packie) McKenna (Doogan)

Dernalussett, Emyvale, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Patrick (Packie) McKenna (Doogan), Dernalussett, Emyvale, Co. Monaghan. Wednesday 24th February, peacefully at Monaghan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Margaret, son Joseph, daughters Carmel & Teresa, grandchildren Ryan, Christopher & Shannon, sons-in-law Noel & Ken, sister Mary, brother-in-law Hughie, nieces, nephews and extended family circle.

May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Packie's remains will repose at his son Joseph's residence until removal on Friday evening to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Carrickroe for 6.30pm. Funeral Mass Saturday morning at 11am, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Packie's Funeral Mass will be streamed live on;

Due to current restrictions, Packie's wake, funeral & burial will be private to family only. Anyone wishing to pay their respects, may do so as Packie's funeral cortege travels to the church on Friday evening (please adhere to social distancing guidelines at all times).
