Today will be dry in most places with some bright or sunny spells, the best of these in the east and south of the country.

Highest temperature in Cavan will be 8° in the east of the county and 7° in the west. There will be isolated showers in the afternoon.

Nationally, it will be cloudier further to the west and north with some patchy light rain and drizzle at times, mainly in coastal parts. Highest temperatures of 7° to 10° in mostly light southwesterly or variable breezes, a little fresher by western and northwestern coastal parts.

Continuing mainly dry tonight with a mix of cloud and clear spells. Cloudiest in the north and northwest with a little drizzle in parts of Ulster. Winds will be mostly light southwesterly or variable, fresher in northwestern coastal parts. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +4 degrees, coldest in the east and south with some frost.

It will be dry to begin tomorrow in most places with some bright or sunny spells. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will gradually spread from the west over the course of the day, totals will be small and much of the eastern half of the country will hold dry. Highest temperatures of 7° to 11° in light to moderate southerly winds, fresher on western and northwestern coasts.

It will gradually turn more unsettled, with some very disturbed weather through midweek.
