It is with regret that we note the deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Gerard (Gerry) Mc Govern

Dromod, Swanlinbar, Cavan / Kinawley, Fermanagh

Formerly of Greaghnafina, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital Brother of the late Pat and Charlie. Deeply regretted by his loving sister Mary (Molly) Murray, brother-in-law Jamsie, nephews Patrick and Sean nieces Margaret, Teresa, Christina, Philomena, and Caroline, relatives and friends.

MAY HIS GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE.

Remains arriving to Saint Mary's Church Swanlinbar via Greaghnafina and Dromod at 11am on Thursday for Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in Killaduff Cemetery. Due to Government and HSE guidelines Gerard's Mass, funeral and burial will be private to family only.

Those who wish to show their support along the route are asked to do so by social distancing in a safe manner. Gerard's family wish to express their appreciation for your understanding at this difficult time

Joseph (Joe) Rothwell

Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

Joseph (Joe) Rothwell, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan and Burton on Trent, England. Passed away peacefully at Queens Hospital, Burton on Trent, on Monday 15 March 2021, aged 85 years. Sadly missed by his loving family. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Dolly) nee Kinane, Ballyglass, Tipperary. Father of Josephine, Thomas and Michael. Father-in-law to Paul, Sarah and Ruth. Much loved Grandad to Lucy, George, Matthew, Joseph, Louise and James.

Will also be missed by his sister Margaret and wide network of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Joe was pre-deceased by his parents Joseph and Margaret. As well as his brothers and sisters: Marie, Kathleen, Jamsie, Jenny, John, Andrew and Thomas.

There will be a private family funeral at St Mary and St Modwen Church, Burton on Trent, on Friday, 9th April, followed by burial at Stapenhill.

Ashling Mooney

Drumgriston, Doohamlet, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Ashling Mooney, Drumgriston, Doohamlet, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, Monday March 29th, peacefully, at the Mater Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by her loving family. Ashling, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her husband Seamus, daughters Lauren, Jade, Aoife, Sarah and Katie, her parents Maureen and Jack Gillanders, sisters Olga, Carmel and Martina, brothers John and Colin, parents in-law Anna and Frankie Mooney, brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

May Ashling’s Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.

Ashling’s funeral cortège will travel from her home on Wednesday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St Michael’s Church, Annyalla. for funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass will be live streamed on the link: https://www.churchservices.tv/annyalla

Due to Level 5 restrictions on numbers at funeral ceremonies, Ashling’s funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of her family only.
