WEATHER: A dry and mild day

Today will be dry across Ulster with good spells of sunshine, Met Éireann forecast. It will be cool in coastal areas with highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees and moderate east to northeast breezes. It will be milder inland with highest temperatures of 13 to 14 degrees.

Tonight will be cold and dry with clear spells and some patches of mist or fog. Frost will develop as temperatures fall to between -1 and +2 degrees.

Saturday will continue dry with good sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees with mostly light east to northeast breezes.

Easter Sunday will be dry over much of the country with the best of the sunshine in the south. It will be cloudier further north. Light rain or drizzle will develop in the northwest during the afternoon and spread southwards through the evening. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees. On Sunday night, very cold air will move down from the north with fresh north to northwest winds. Some wintry showers may develop overnight on north facing coasts.
