Wintry showers and sunny spells
Cold and breezy today with sunny spells and wintry showers, report Met Éireann. Some snow accumulating on hills. Highest afternoon temperatures of just 5 to 7 degrees, with an added wind chill due to fresh northerly winds. A band of light rain will move into the northwest this evening.
Cloud and outbreaks of light rain tonight, however rainfall amounts will be small and many areas will stay dry. Clear spells at times too will allow temperatures to fall to between -1 to +2 degrees with a slight frost developing, in a light to moderate northwest breeze.
A generally cloudy day overall with outbreaks of patchy light rain and drizzle. The rain will be mainly in the west of the province with good dry spells further east. Highs of just 5 to 7 degrees, in light to moderate westerly winds.
