Nancy Gaffney

The death has occurred of Nancy Gaffney, Cluggagh, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan. Nancy passed away, peacefully in her 94th year, at Cavan General Hospital, following short illness. Predeceased by her brother Bernard, sisters Mary O'Reilly, Rose Greene and Kathleen Brady. Deeply regretted by her loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace. Due to government advice regarding public gathering a private funeral Mass will take place for family in St Joseph's Church, Ballyjamesduff, on Monday 19th at 12 noon, with interment afterwards in St Joseph's Cemetery, Oldcastle Rd.

Noel Galligan

Noel Galligan, Halifax, West Yorkshire and 30 Killymooney Drive, Cavan Town. Thursday April 15th. 2021. Beloved son of Eva and Sean. Noel will be very sadly missed by his daughter Alanna, son London, his heartbroken parents, his twin brother Nicky, brothers Alan and Jamie, sisters Joanna, Tracey and Gemma, nieces, nephews, all his family circle and many friends.

Tommy Gormley

The death has occurred of Tommy Gormley, Drumrooske, Killeshandra, Cavan / Ballyjamesduff, Cavan on Friday April 16, 2021, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Tommy was predeceased by his siblings Paddy, Frank, Nicky, Jim and May and is very deeply regretted by his partner Sheila, step-daughter Ciara, grandchild Kayla, sisters Nancy and Madge, relatives, friends and colleagues in the music business. Rest in Peace. Removal from McMahon’s Funeral Home, Cavan, on Monday April 19 at 11.20am to St. Brigid’s Church, Killeshandra, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial in adjoining cemetery.

Due to current HSE and Government restrictions, Tommy’s Funeral Mass will remain private.

Lorraine O'Reilly (née O'Neill)

The death has occurred of Lorraine O'Reilly (née O'Neill) Liosnasí, Kilnaleck, Cavan on Friday, April 16 (peacefully) at home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her father Eugene. Sadly missed by her husband John, daughters; Aoishe, Caoimhe, Síofra and Fainche, her mother Sadie, sisters; Margaret O'Connell (Virginia) Mary Cassidy (Killesher) Patricia Keenan (Derrylin) Anna Costello (Ballyhaise) brothers; Eugene (Tullyco, Cootehill) Martin (Redhills) and Michael (Carrickatane, Ballyhaise) mother-in-law Teresa, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Rest In Peace.

In line with current Government and HSE guidelines, the funeral and family home are private. Reposing at her home. Funeral Mass on Sunday in St. Patrick's Church, Kilnaleck at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in St. Mary's Cemetery, Crosserlough. Philip Sheridan

The death has occurred of Philip Sheridan, Creeny, Milltown, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, peacefully at his residence, 16th April 2021. Predeceased by his wife Lil and son Padraig. Deeply regretted by his daughters, Grainne (Egan), Elizabeth (Pratt) and son, John, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family. May He Rest In Peace. Due to current restrictions, Philip’s funeral will be private to family only. Philip’s remains will be removed from his residence on Sunday, 18th April, at 11.30am, where the funeral cortège will travel to St. Patrick's Church, Milltown for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Drumlane Cemetery. Philip Connolly

The death has occurred of Philip Connolly, Drollagh, Aghabog ,Co. Monaghan and formerly of Annagh, Emyvale, Co. Monaghan. Philip passed away peacefully in the care of the palliative care team at Lisdarn Unit, Cavan General Hospital. Saturday 17th April.

Beloved husband of Pauline and adored father of Gerard, Matthew & Michelle, Colette, Anne & James, and devoted grandfather of Philip & Adam. Philip will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, daughters, sons, grandchildren, Sean & Alice, Christina, Kate & Bob, Mary & Tom, Rose, Julie & Robert, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, friends and by all who knew and loved him.

Philip will be resting at the family home amongst his family (from 5pm this Saturday evening). Philip's funeral cortège will travel from the family home at approximately 10.15am to arrive at the St Mary's Chapel, Aghabog, for 11am Funeral Mass on Monday morning. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Due to COVID19 government restrictions, the Mass and burial will be private to family and restricted to 10 people. For those who wish to pay their respects, please adhere to HSE guidelines and maintain 2m social distance.

Francie Sherry

The death has occurred of Francie Sherry, Edenaforan, Clones,Co. Monaghan and formerly of Clintycasta, Tydavnet, Co. Monaghan. Saturday 17th April.

Francie passed away peacefully in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by his loving Wife Breda and brother Michael.

Francie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his sisters, Mary (Mc Aree, Corcaghan), Roisin (Grey, England), Helen (Victory, England), brothers Seamus (England) and Philip (Clintycasta), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, friends and by all who knew and loved him.

Kevin Callan

The death has occurred of Kevin Callan, unexpectedly at home 62 Rathview Park, Crossmaglen and late of France. Kevin beloved son of the late Elizabeth and Henry Callan Carricklane Carrickmacross. Cherished brother of the late Patsy, Margo Tully and Joe. Late husband of Bernadette Sweeney, Devoted father of Harry, Sadly missed by sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
