Dry day with good spells of sunshine ahead

Misty patches and low cloud will continue to clear this morning to leave a mostly dry day with good spells of sunshine. Some further patchy cloud will bubble up for a time in the afternoon bringing a slight risk of an isolated shower. Highest afternoon temperatures 11 to 14 degrees, coolest in the east in moderate easterly breezes.

Tonight will be dry with long clear spells. Lowest temperatures will range from 0 and 4 degrees bringing a very slight chance of some localised frosty patches. Mist pockets will develop in mostly light easterly breezes.

Both the pollen and solar UV indexes are moderate for today and tomorrow.

Thursday will be dry and mostly sunny, however it will become hazy during the afternoon. Highest afternoon temperatures 11 to 15 degrees - coolest in the east in moderate easterly breezes.

High pressure will dominate the weather pattern through the rest of this week and the weekend bringing predominantly dry and settled conditions.

Thursday night is expected to be cold, dry and mostly clear with just some high cloud at times in western parts. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 2 degrees in Ulster, 3 to 6 degrees elsewhere in light to moderate easterly breezes.

Friday will be another dry day with variable cloud and sunshine. Highest Temperatures of 12 to 17 degrees coolest near southern and eastern coasts in mostly moderate easterly breezes.

Friday night will remain dry. However a little more cloud about keeping lowest temperatures a little higher than previous night at 4 to 7 degrees in mostly light easterly breezes.

The outlook for Saturday is dry with good sunshine over Munster, variable amounts of cloud elsewhere with some hazy sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees coolest near southern and eastern coasts in mostly moderate easterly breezes.

Cloud will clear east early on Saturday night to leave a dry and mostly clear night. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 5 degrees, holding a degree or two warmer along eastern and southern coast in mostly light easterly breezes.

Sunday is promised dry and clear once again, however holding a little cooler with highest temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees coolest near southern and eastern coasts in light to moderate easterly breezes.

Current indications suggest high pressure will begin to weaken early next week with a return to more unsettled conditions.
