Dry day with hazy sunshine

Any mist patches will clear this morning to leave a dry day with hazy sunshine, however some patchy cloud may develop for a time during the afternoon.

The latest weather forecast from Met Éireann says it will feel pleasant for most with highest afternoon temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees, cooler however along eastern coastal with highs of just 10 to 12 degrees due to moderate onshore southeasterly breezes.

Generally clear skies tonight with winds falling mostly light easterly or variable. Lowest temperatures of 0 and + 5 degrees in mostly light and variable breezes with a touch of grass frost possible.

The pollen forecast is high today and tomorrow (Friday); while the solar UV index is moderate.

Friday will be another dry and bright day however there will be more cloud about with hazy sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 11 to 16 degrees coolest near eastern coasts where moderate east to southeast breezes will persist.

High pressure will dominate the weather pattern through the weekend bringing dry and settled conditions.

It's expected to remain dry Friday night, however a little more cloud about keeping lowest temperatures a little higher than previous night at 4 to 7 degrees in mostly light to moderate easterly breezes.

Saturday is promised dry again with good sunshine for most however it may be a little hazy at times in Leinster. Highest temperatures of 12 to 18 degrees coolest near southern and eastern coasts in mostly moderate easterly breezes, becoming fresh along southern coasts.

Dry and mostly clear on Saturday night. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees, holding a degree or two warmer near coasts in light to moderate easterly breezes.

Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny, becoming hazy at times with just some intermittent passing cloud. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees generally, moderate easterly breezes will hold highs at 10 to 13 degrees in eastern and southern coastal counties, pushing into parts of the midland also.

Sunday night will remain dry and mostly clear. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 4 degrees generally in light to moderate easterly or variable breezes.

Good sunny spells are forecast for Monday, however cloud will increase over Ulster during the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 11 to 17 degrees coolest near coasts in light northeast of variable breezes.

Current indications suggest high pressure will weaken Monday night with a cooler but mostly dry northerly airflow setting in.
