It is with regret that we note the deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Fr. Fintan McKiernan

Cross, Ballyconnell, Cavan / Derrylin, Fermanagh

Fr. Fintan Mc Kiernan, Cross House, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan & former parish priest in Derrylin, Fermanagh.

April 21st 2021 suddenly but peacefully at his home. Predeceased by his brothers Gerry, Eugene and Edward. Deeply regretted by his nephews John (Orla) & Fintan (Jennifer), niece Carmel (Andreas), grand nephew Seán, nieces Alice, Louise & Eva, Bishop Martin Hayes, his fellow priests in the Kilmore diocese, relatives & a large circle of friends.

Rest in Peace.

Due to government and HSE covid 19 guidelines a private Funeral Mass and burial will take place on Saturday. Funeral Mass at 12 o'clock in St. Patrick's Church, Kilnavart with a maximum of 10 people. Burial afterwards in St. Ninnidh’s Cemetery, Derrylin, arriving approximately at 2 o'clock. House private please.

Eugene O'Reilly

Moylett, Bailieborough, Cavan

Eugene O'Reilly Moylett, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, died 21st April 2021, suddenly, at Virginia Primary Care. Predeceased by his parents James and Mary, sisters Mollie and Theresa. Deeply regretted by his sister Kathleen (Sheridan) and brother James, brother in law John, sister in law Monica, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and extended family and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Due to current government and HSE guidelines, Eugene's funeral will be private to family only.

Funeral procession will leave Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough, on Friday morning at 10.30am, (hearse will pause at Gola Cross for a moment) to arrive at St Mary's Church, Clonaphilip, for funeral Mass at 11am. Mass can be viewed live on Clarke's funeral home Facebook page link https://www.facebook.com/clarkesfuneraldirectors/ ( if there is a break in live transmission the funeral mass will be recorded and available to view on Friday evening ) Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines for those who are standing along the funeral procession. House private, please.

Philomena (Phil) Mc Entee (née Leavey)

Carrickmacross, Monaghan / Julianstown, Meath

Mc Entee (nee Leavey), The Woods, Drumcondra Road, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Julianstown, Co. Meath. 21st April 2021. Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Philomena (Phil), predeceased by her husband John and grandsons Philip and Peter. Sadly missed by her loving children Sophia, Joseph, Michelle and Justin, sons-in-law Mark and Aidan, daughter-in-law Roberta, grandchildren Stuart, Christopher, Sam, Laura, Daniel, James and Caroline, brother Tony, sisters Theresa and Bernie, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

In keeping with current Government guidelines regarding public gatherings Phil’s Funeral will be private for family only (limit of 10 people in the Church).
