Mary (Manie) Caldwell

Eighter, Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred of Mary Caldwell, Eighter, Virginia, County Cavan. Mary (Manie) passed away, peacefully, at her residence on Thursday, April 22nd. Predeceased by her parents Jimmy and Nan and her sister Susan (Cahill). Deeply regretted by her brother in law Peter, her cousins, relatives, friends, neighbours and her loyal companions Snowy and Brownie.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Removal from O’Dwyer’s Funeral Home, Ryefield, Virginia, on Saturday at 11.45am for arrival at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Munterconnaught, Virginia, County Cavan, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St. Marys Cemetery, Castlerahan.

In compliance with current Covid 19 guidelines, the funeral home will remain private. Mary’s funeral Mass will be restricted to family members only. People are invited to form a guard of honour along the route of the funeral cortège from the funeral home to the chapel as a mark of respect.

Patricia (Pat) GALLIGAN

Mount Merrion, Dublin / Cavan

GALLIGAN, Patricia (Pat), Mount Merrion, Co. Dublin and late of Cavan, 23rd April 2021 (peacefully) in the tender care of all the staff of Belmont Nursing Home. Sadly missed by her family, nieces, especially Gina Rhatigan and her family, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, sister-in-law, friends, especially Miriam, Betty and Gemma and also her friends at Foxrock Golf Club.

Rest in Peace.

Due to government guidelines on public gatherings, a private family Funeral Mass will take place at the Church of St. Thérèse, Mount Merrion on Tuesday at 10.00 am. which may be viewed on www.mountmerrionparish.ie

Hugh Hourican

Woodlands, Arva, Cavan

The death has occurred of Hugh Hourican, Woodlands, Arva, Co.Cavan, April 22nd 2021 peacefully at his home after a short illness, surrounded by his family.

Pre deceased by his son Gerard, brothers Philip, Tom, Sean, and sister Mary.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen, daughters Monica and Frances, sons Raymond, Hugh, Patrick, daughters in law, sons in law, adored grandchildren, brothers Edmond, Pat, Joe, sister Eileen, extended family, and his many friends.

Removal from his home on Sunday at 12.30pm to arrive at Sacred Heart Church Arva for Requiem Mass at 1pm, interment afterwards in Coronea cemetery

Due to current government and HSE guidelines, Hugh's funeral will be private to family only.

Kathleen Owens

Arderry, Corlough, Cavan / Milltown, Monaghan

Thursday, April 22nd, at Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by her parents Paddy Joe and Kathleen and her brother John.

She will be sadly missed by her brothers Gabriel and Paddy, her sister Agnes (Doonan), sisters-in-law, brother-in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and all who knew her.

Rest in Peace.

Kathleen’s funeral Mass will be on Saturday at 3.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Corlough and may be viewed live on the Corlough-Templeport Parish Facebook page.

Due to current government restrictions, Kathleen’s Mass and reposing will be private. The family appreciates your sympathy, support and understanding at this sad time.

Mary (Mae) PRUNTY (née Lang)

North Strand, Dublin / Arva, Cavan

PRUNTY (nee Lang) Mary (Mae). Late of North Strand and formerly of Cormore, Arva, Co. Cavan and New York. Beloved wife of the late Patrick (Pakie) and loving mother of Noel. Sadly missed by her son, daughter-in-law Frances, grandchildren, Shane, Sinead and Aoife, sister-in-law Agnes, nieces, nephews, relatives, good neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Beth Moore (née Austin)

Killelina, Smithborough, Monaghan

Suddenly on Tuesday, 20th April 2021 at the Mater Hospital, Dublin. Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Willie and sister Susan. Beth will be dearly missed by her loving family, her daughters Joan (& Errol Gibson) and Wilma (& Meredith Hill), sons Robert (& Lynda), Richard (&Joanne) and Ian, her adored grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, the entire family circle and also her many friends.

Resting at her home from 9pm (Friday) until removal on Sunday, 25th April, for Funeral service in Saint Molua's Parish Church, Drumsnatt, at 3pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard. Beth's Funeral cortege will travel (turning left at the end of the lane) via Threemilehouse, turning left at Thornton's Garage and on to Drumsnatt. Those who wish to line the route may do so. Please adhere to the social distancing guidelines at all times. Due to the current Covid restrictions the house and funeral are private.

Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Beth, if so desired, to Saint Molua's Parish Church (cheques made payable to same) c/o Conly Funeral Directors, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan or any family member.

Ballagh Threemilehouse, Monaghan

Vincent Thornton, Ballagh, Threemilhouse, Co. Monaghan. Friday, 23rd April 2021, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Peggy, sons Karl and Johnny, daughters Helen and Maraid (Mc Guirk), grandchildren, brother Patsy, sister Kathleen (Murphy), son-in-law, daughter in law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, relatives and a large circle of friends.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Remains reposing at his residence until removal on Monday morning to St. Michael's Church, Corcaghan, arriving for 11 o'clock private funeral Mass. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Due to Government and HSE guidelines, Vincent's house and funeral will be strictly private. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Palliative Care, C/O Gerry Coyle Funeral Director or any family member.
