Unbroken sunshine with temperatures reaching 20

Weather Update

Dry today and it's going to be mostly sunny. Any high cloud in places for a time this morning will mostly clear to generally give unbroken sunshine for the rest of the day, according to the latest weather forecast from Met Éireann.

Highest temperatures today will generally range from 15 to 20 degrees, highest in parts of the west and southwest, but lower in coastal parts of the east and south, ranging from 12 to 14 degrees here, due to onshore mostly moderate southeast to east breezes. Winds will be a little fresher in some southern and southwestern coastal parts.

Dry tonight with mostly clear skies. A chilly night with lowest temperatures generally ranging from 0 to 5 degrees with a touch of frost, but less cold in the southwest. Winds will be mostly light easterly or variable, moderate easterly in southwestern parts.

Tomorrow (Sunday) will be another dry, bright day with mostly sunny skies once again. The sunshine will turn a little hazy at times in places. Highest temperatures will generally range from 14 to 18 degrees, highest again in the west and southwest, but a little lower in eastern and southern coastal parts due to the onshore mostly moderate southeast breeze. Winds will be fresher in southwestern parts.

Warm and dry on Monday with a transition to cooler, showery weather from Tuesday as our winds turn northerly. The risk of frost remains.

Sunday night will remain dry and mostly clear. A cold night with lows of -1 to +3 degrees with frost in places, in a light variable breeze.

Another dry, warm and mostly sunny day in many areas is promised on Monday, however cloud will build from the north through the day as our winds turn northerly. A few showers will push onto northern coasts later in the day. Highs of 13 to 16 degrees in light winds turning northerly.

Showers moving southwards on Monday night, with lows of 4 to 7 degrees.

Tuesday is expected to be a cooler day with a mix of sunny spells and showers, some of the showers will be heavy at times. Highs of just 11 to 13 degrees in moderate northerly winds.

Showers easing on Tuesday night with clear spells. Lows of 2 to 5 degrees.

Wednesday is promised rather cool and rather cloudy, with some sunny spells. Generally a lot of dry weather on Wednesday, but there will be a few scattered showers. Highs of 10 to 13 degrees in light northerly winds.

Lows of 1 to 4 degrees Wednesday night with a touch of frost.

Thursday and Friday are both expected cool with scattered showers and sunny spells. Highs of just 11 to 13 degrees in light winds.

The risk of frost remains with night time lows of 0 to +5 degrees.
