John Kavanagh known as Charlie, Fairhill, Cavan Town, Friday, May 21st, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Virginia Community Health Centre.

Jim McKiernan
Drumhose, Kill, Cootehill, Cavan
The death has occurred of Jim McKiernan, Drumhose, Kill, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, May 23rd 2021, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, Cavan. Predeceased by his darling daughter Maura, son Seamus, brother Andy, sister Roseleen. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, his wife Rosemary, son Paul, daughter Aoife, son-in-law Damien, daughter-in-law Sophie, granddaughter Mary Kate, step-grandchildren Louis, Clara and Juliette, brother Packie, sisters Maire, Kathleen and Vera, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Due to Government and HSE restrictions Jim's funeral mass and burial will be celebrated in the presence of his family and friends restricted to 50 people. The Mc Kiernan family would like to thank you for your cooperation and consideration at this difficult time. Funeral cortege will leave Jim's home on Wednesday morning at 11.30 am to arrive at St. Brigid's Church, Kill for 12 noon funeral mass, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Matthew Reilly, Gortnakillew, Poles, Co. Cavan, Monday, May 24th. Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his mother Mary. Beloved husband of Caroline and dear father of Aoife, Aisling and Sean. Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, son, his father Felim, sister Susan, brothers John, David and Felim, father-in-law Paddy Maher, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.
Removal from his home on Thursday morning at 10.30am to St Dympna's Church, Lower Lavey to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to Palliative Care, Cavan care of Declan Finnegan Funeral Director or any family member or through donation box. House and funeral private to family close neighbours and friends.
Bridget Cadden (née McMahon)
Lismeagh, Smithborough, Monaghan
The death has occurred of Bridget Cadden, Lismeagh, Smithborough, Co. Monaghan in her 93rd year. Bridget passed away, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, 23rd May. Predeceased by her loving husband Michael, her twin sister Martha and her brother Bernard. Beloved mother of Margaret (Mickey Tierney), Briege (Seamus Murphy), Peter (Marie) and Martina (Barry O'Neill). Bridget will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his daughters, son, daughter-in-law and sons-in-law, grandchildren Donal, Niamh, Michael, Pearse, Ellen, James, Emmet, Aimee and Michael, great-grandchildren Croíadh and Cóchur, sisters-in-law Bernadette, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends and by all who knew and loved her.

Bridget's will be resting at the family home amongst his family due to COVID-19 restrictions. Bridget's funeral cortège will travel from the family home at approximately 10.15am to arrive at the St Mary's Chapel Magheraraney, Smithborough, for 11am Funeral Mass on Tuesday Morning. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
Due to COVID19 government restrictions, the Mass and burial will be private to family and friends and restricted to 50 people. For those who wish to pay their respects, please adhere to HSE guidelines and maintain 2m social distance.

CONNOLLY, James J. (Jim) (Dalkey Co. Dublin, Newcastle Co. Down and formerly of Monaghan Town, retired Bank Manager) - Friday, 21 May 2021 peacefully surrounded by his loving family and under the attentive care of the medical and palliative teams at St Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. Beloved husband of his late wife Mary and much-loved father of Oliver and Joanna; sadly missed by his loving family, daughter-in-law Katie, son-in-law Niall, grandchildren Oliver Jnr, Aoibheanna, Seághna and Garry, his brother Brendan and sister-in-law Ita, his sisters Mary (Sr Joanne Connolly) and Betty, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his son’s residence in Dalkey Co. Dublin on Tuesday, 25 May, and his residence in Newcastle Co. Down on Wednesday, 26 May. Dearly loved wife of William John, and loving mother of Ian, Shirley (Allen), mother-in-law of Amanda and Keith, grandmother of Ryan, Diane and Mark, sister of Margaret and the late Olive and Gilbert.
Resting at home. Funeral from her late home on Wednesday to St. Maeldoid's Church, Castleblayney for Funeral Service at 2pm followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard. House and Funeral strictly private to family and close friends, due to current regulations.

Pre-deceased by his grandson Fabian and sister Anne-May. Willie will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife Agnes, daughters Anna Marie Knights (Gary), Bridie, Una Sweeney (Stephen), sons Billy & Leo, grandchildren Katie, Rachel, Gearoid, Killian, Fionn, Madison & Lorcan, extended family and friends.

Elizabeth (Lily) Myles (née Woods)
Park Road, Drumillard, Castleblayney, Monaghan
The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Lily) Myles née Woods, Park Road, Drumillard, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, Monday 24th May 2021 surrounded by her family.
Deeply regretted by her beloved husband Tommy, her children, Geraldine, Paddy, Liz, Paul, Lorraine and Damien, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family neighbours and friends.
Lily will repose privately at her home among her family.
There will be an opportunity for neighbours and friends to pay their respects by lining the route in a safe and socially distanced manner, from her home as Lily’s funeral cortège travels to St. Mary’s Church, Castleblayney for requiem mass on Wednesday 26th May at 12noon with burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery.
