Fifteen jobs created at new plant in Shercock

O’Reilly Group has created 15 new jobs in County Cavan with the opening of the local company's new state-of-the-art architectural precast wall manufacturing facility at Taghart South, Shercock, last week.

One of the largest precast frame manufacturers in Ireland and the UK, the new factory manufactures bespoke, single-skin wall panels connected to a structural frame, or as a sandwich wall panel consisting of an outer layer of precast concrete.

O’Reilly Group say demand for its latest product has grown in recent months, as the benefits of off-site construction have become more evident as a direct result of COVID-19.

Group CEO Emmet Cosgrove welcomed the plant's opening, stating that the manufacture of their new wall panels is a “natural progression” for the business.

He adds that the on-site construction phase furthermore saves, up to 50% on traditional build methods.

“The walls can be completed with windows and doors installed if requested, again saving our clients time and money.”
