Ailbhe ALVEY (née McMullin)

ALVEY (née McMullin) Ailbhe (Blackrock, Booterstown and late of Cavan) May 25th 2021 (peacefully) in the wonderful care of all the staff of Glengara Park Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Joe, loving mother of Edmund, Luke and Ruth. Greatly missed by her grandchildren Robin and Gemma, daughter-in-law Caroline, Ruth and Edmund’s loving partners Jan and Victor. Sadly missed by her surviving sister Airmid, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Remembering also her 10 late siblings.

In accordance with current Government guidelines and in the hope of keeping our friends and family safe, Ailbhe’s Funeral will take place privately on Friday, May 28th, at 11am but can be viewed online at https://www.churchservices.tv/booterstown followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to the Peter McVerry Trust or the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

Dunaree Lane, Kingscourt, Cavan

Dermot McKenna

The death has occurred of Dermot McKenna, Dunaree Lane, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, peacefully at his home, 25th May 2021. Predeceased by his sister Anna and brothers Brendan and Paul. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Teresa, daughter Lauren and son Stephen. Sadly missed by his sisters Margaret O’Donoghue, Laytown, Therese Monaghan, UK, Elizabeth Watters, Wilkinstown, brothers, Pat, Gerry, Martin, Colm and Noel, parents-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, his beloved dog Scooby, relatives and friends.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings a private funeral mass will take place in in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Dermot’s Funeral Mass will be available to view online at 10am on Friday morning, 28th May, on the following links;

Dermots's funeral cortège will begin from his home on Friday morning, travelling via Lower Main Street, Main Street, Hall Street, Kingscourt to the Church of the Immaculate Conception from 9.30 am.

Neighbours and friends are very welcome to line that route in a safe and socially distanced manner as a mark of respect. Those who would have liked to attend, but due to current restrictions cannot, please leave a personal message in the 'Condolences' section below.

peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her father Tony, brother Anthony and niece Tori. Sadly missed by her husband Tommy, daughter Nicola, grandchildren Alannah and Darragh and their father Paddy, mother Gertie, brothers Martin and Gary, sisters Siobhán and Regina, brothers in law, sisters in law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home from Wednesday (26/05/2021). Removal on Thursday (27/05/2021) at 11.15 a.m., arriving at St. Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 2.30 p.m.

Lucan, Dublin / Aughnacliffe, Longford

HARVEY (Nee O’Reilly) (Lucan, Co. Dublin and formerly of Aughnacliffe, Co. Longford) May 23rd. 2021 (suddenly) at the Mater Hospital. Bríd (Bridget), beloved wife of the late John, dear mother of Mary, Carmel, Edward, Charlie, Gerry, Brian, Olivia and John-Paul and devoted grandmother of Ciara, Catherine, Ailbhe, Méadbh, Robyn, Roisín, Maria, John and baby Anna. Very sadly missed by her loving family, brothers, sisters, son-in-law Tom, daughters-in-law Maria, Joan and Engela, Tara, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Due to Government advice and restrictions regarding public gatherings and to protect our most vulnerable family members and our friends, a private family funeral will take place.
